Lake Erie College...DII...Ohio Posted for head coach. Very small school, about 400 on campus. Will be lucky to get 35 as salary, probably more like 32. Dickinsonson State...NAIA... Posted for HC Lake Erie is apparently the job that takes 3 years for a coach to realize they need to get the heck outta there. Foeman was there 3 years Peck was there 3 years Anderson was there 3 years I wonder who the next victim will be. lakeeriestorm.com/news/2023/12/20/womens-volleyball-calaeb-haire-named-next-head-of-lake-erie-volleyball.aspxLake Erie is done. We'll see if he can break the 3 year trend.

He must have some ties to the Cleveland area; he got a taste of the bottom of the GMAC just a couple years ago at Ursuline. Now he's basically making a lateral move to Lake Erie.

Any one want to wager on the next time that we will be discussing the open position at Kenyon and Lake Erie? 2024? 2025? 2026?

Any Northwestern or Miami movement or rumors? Neither of those programs seem poised enough to win at volleyball that their administration would be making moves during the holidays.

AD’s won’t let go of coaches even if there are physical allegations now. It’s insane. 5-51 in two years and multiple allegations during his career and time at Idaho.. how does he keep getting jobs, and keep them while this keeps happening.

Literally nobody is surprised by any of this. His history of behavior is well documented and well known within the community - as are the embellishments on his resume. The more surprising thing is how he keeps fooling hiring committees at NCAA jobs to hire him - and the coaches who willingly put their name behind him for recommendations.

I have to believe that this is a parent’s biggest fear when they trust these people to at least not be abusive. They may not be treated fairly or receive great coaching but damn…

“Chris was highly recommended to me by Kelly Sheffield, head coach at Wisconsin, who just won a national championship,” Gawlik, a former college volleyball and basketball player and Wisconsin’s senior associate AD, said at the time of the hiring. “We are thrilled to get someone of that caliber.”
Not a good look.
