And he's argued hardest on points the horns have won anyways. right! which is why it feels like it isn’t even about the game. he just feels weak in his day to day life and this is how he makes himself feel good. it’s like a master class in narcissism playing out in front of you on national television. Nah, he's been yelling at the refs almost every single game this season. Taking out his frustrations of the team on the refs maybe?

Unpopular opinion but both OHs seem to to better with higher sets.

Elliott is a menace 100% but let’s not act holier than thou LOL. Ryan was giving it to the down ref earlier Minus the stomping, screaming, waving of hands in the middle of a rally, dismissiveness, and an assistant coach shouting alongside him. Apparently he leaves that for your stats guy. I believe JE said FU to him at one point when. He was hollering and yelling at JE, who wasn’t even paying attention to him.

It was a joke about confrontation. Just saying, I don’t find yelling at a volleyball official to be confrontational. It’s just being a d*ck to someone doing their best to do their job. I wouldn’t call people who are rude to servers “confrontational”. I would say their anger is misplaced. I think the same about Jelliot. I guess. I just see coaches being jerks to refs all the time. It doesn't seem as unusual to me as it seems to be to others. They think it helps their team win. That's the reason they do it. Does it? I don't know. I don't know how to set up a double blind study to prove it. But the weird statements implying he's abusive to his partner in some way and weak in his personal life sounds like you don't like how he behaves so you're throwing a whole lot of speculation in, to partly buttress how you feel about Elliott in the first place. You're not alone in intensely disliking how he behaves. You are alone in then projecting his behavior into his personal life in various ways that are not provable in any way. Just ask his wife, the alumni that adore him and everyone that knows him outside of volleyball. Easy peasy

Swindle doesn't need to be as stealthy as Miner. She's 6'3" 6'11" last I heard.

It's not a Texas match without Elliott yelling about something. It's much better when a head coach just sits on the bench and stares down at their clipboard . . .

Pretty sure Elliot has the emotional intelligence of a 5 year old Nomination for most clueless post ever on VT. Extremely high emotional intelligence is perhaps the #1 reason JE has been so successful coaching women's volleyball.

I love Elliott going ballistic. I am always so in the minority. I just think of how he probably treats his partner and that’s enough to make it ick for me. An adult being unable to control themselves is no bueno. Seriously, you're gonna bring up his relationship with his wife just to be a jerk? That's quite the reach to go there.

This is my opinion: If the call is wrong, raise hell. Make the right call, don't get yelled at. Players on both sides are working hard to win points. They shouldn't have to deal with wrong calls being made. The problem is he isn't right half the time, and he is just rude in his comments. So, you've been near the action to hear his comments?

some of the sh*t elliot argues literally just makes it look like he doesn’t understand volleyball. the middle did exactly what you should - closed fist to bump the ball up on second contact. what do ya want them to call bro? Or, you just enjoy going against him every time . . . like in this match thread . . .

Boy you are obsessing over Elliott tonight. You have made your insults very personal tonight. Does that make you feel good?

Texas really about to drop to 48-1 against Baylor in Austin all time. Embarrassing and sad.
