Anyone have an estimate what attendance is like for European leagues? I know that's a broad question, but many of those leagues have been around for a while. Just wondering what we're looking for in terms of attendance for long-term viability here in the States.

Maybe Ill do that this weekend. from what Ive searched in 2023... only two teams in europe's top leagues average more than 4k

Interesting. I wonder what the capacity of the various arenas is. Obviously as big as the max, but some (like Chieri, for example), look really small so I wonder if their max is close to a sellout. The Van Andel had a sellout crowd ~7800 which is substantially more than any of the top Italian teams. Ticket prices also seem comparable: Rise single ticket prices range from $19-$36 with various package discounts available. Milano tickets range from €14 to €34 which is comparable.

The various arenas a substantially smaller than those that any of the PVF teams will be playing in. I wonder what percentage of the Italian teams' revenues comes from ticket sales; with those attendance figures and the ticket prices, it can't be that much, so advertising/TV revenue sharing must account for a substantial portion.

Interesting. I wonder what the capacity of the various arenas is. This reminds me of when I took a friend to Italy. The guide told us “this is one of the largest rooms in Italy!” And my friend side-eyed me HARD. The room was like 1/4 the size of the average Walmart supercenter

My understanding is basically all of the funding is from corporate sponsorships and municipal governments.

Also on Italian attendance, almost all of the major teams are either in suburbs or small cities, so they have an outsized impact on the local community. Like, Conegliano's average attendance is like 10% of the city's population.

Yep, sponsorships and TV rights are the main revenues. Tickets aren’t expensive. For instance, you can see a match at the E-Work arena (Busto) spending 8 euros.

Just wondering what we're looking for in terms of attendance for long-term viability here in the States. I'm not sure about the specific numbers in Turkey, but I'm pretty sure that Fenerbahçe leads in attendance, and they'd probably be at maybe 3,000 or so, getting 7,000 for the bigger matches.
