Great game by the Bows! lol trying to watch the Beach vs UCSB game and it feels like it’s in slow motion compared to the UH vs UCI game, idk if it’s the announcers or what but I immediately started falling asleep. Female commentator sounds like someone set her to x.75 😴 😅😅 It’s soooooooooo bad lol Chris and Kanoa SPOIL us lol we are so lucky to have them |

After 24 years of volleyball fandom, I can look up who the players are, and I can see what is happening usually. Hawai'i broadcasts add to what I see, others just annoy me usually. "Momentum" is not a thing, serve/pass is a huge thing! |

In the matches I’ve watched, cal poly I think on the road, and even some last year, I always got the impression she was going for the other team. Granted I’m always in and out of streams so maybe I just miss it |

Much cleaner effort. Better serve/pass led to better blocking. Big match offensively for Hakas on the left side. Also, in a tweak, in a couple obvious situations, she moved over and was part of a triple block against a left side in obvious situations. UCSB bedeviled Hawai'i with that, and it looks like RAM made an adjustment based on that. Hakas like 80% of the time moves over to triple block think she’s the only one of our players that does that consistently Hakas has the BEST Lateral movement of all the Outside/Opposite Hitters. Also, Hakas will not back down. You can block her once, twice, she will still hammer away. |

11.5 blocks in 3 sets was huge, helped by service pressure. Digs were even. Ham had a bit of an off night defensively, for her, in a solid performance overall. She often digs hard hit shots more than she did tonight.

I think it's more a matter of Hawaii has looked great against all conference opponents outside the other top teams - Poly, UCSB and LBSU - even when mixing and matching personnel. They will again dominate this afternoon against CSF, but this weekend will probably give no clue to how they do next weekend against LBSU or in the Tournament. On the positive side, they beat the teams they should beat, now they need to start winning more 50-50 games. |
