? 100% stand by this. Baylor was much more impressive in our win than KSU in our loss. KSU hit 0.351. Correct.

Does this somewhat guarantee that K State will be in the tourney? Like yes I know there are more matches left but this is a huge win in every facet They only have 3 matches left (two against Texas Tech) so they’re already guaranteed a .500 record. Sweeps of Texas and BYU x2 should guarantee them in the tourney.

y'all be honest with me, was it better I couldn't watch this live LOL I think the score and the match thread speaks for itself. Great match if you're a KState fan or you like watching upsets. KState played really really well. Just a terrible loss for these Longhorns. They look so discombobulated, with no answers. The biggest hope I had was the service game. Well, they were very effective from the service line even with the service errors, but couldn't convert. Blocking couldn't score. Transition game couldn't score. KState was digging everything. It seemed like every long rally went KState's way. I had significant doubts about bringing Wenaas in. She's not the type of player Texas has depended on in the past. She hustles. She tries hard. But it's still a mistake in roster construction, IMO. The slide wasn't effective. The backrow attack has gone into witness protection. Phillips is hot in the first set and then is completely ignored. Watch it next Halloween as a horror flick would be my recommendation.

K-State out-hit and out-hustled a talent riddled Longhorn side. They deserved this straight set win.
Hooray for the 'Catz.

? 100% stand by this. Baylor was much more impressive in our win than KSU in our loss. K-State hit .351 and sided out at over 63%. They had 53 digs, many of which were very impressive. Aliyah and Izzi put on a show and Morris made some great plays as well. Yes, Texas didn’t play cleanly, but K-State deserves some credit. They now have sweeps over Texas and BYU x2, a 5-set win over Baylor, and lost a close 5-setter at Kansas. They are a very good team.

What was all this talk about Texas getting a top 4 seed? It wasn't because they were some kind of juggernaut. They were winning and everyone else was losing. No need to continue that any more. Their chances were still slim even if they won out. But now they're zip, so no worries there. It's hard to see them beating a #9-12 overall seed in the Sweet Sixteen, to be honest.

Jenna’s stat line …yikes
Too bad this wasn’t a two match series for KState.

? 100% stand by this. Baylor was much more impressive in our win than KSU in our loss. Tell yourself whatever you have to tell yourself I guess 🤷♂️ I mean it’s just my opinion watching the match. When Stanford beat us, they looked GREAT. Even WSU we definitely let slip away at times but they made impressive plays. I just don’t feel that way about this match. I don’t think Texas looked good, and I thought Kansas State was decent. Which was enough to get the win, so credit to them. But I still have the same opinion on how the teams did.

They did well to move out of that old field house. That place had it's own home advantage, but it was not friendly to fans.

Yes. I'm not getting an error message, but the buffering is terrible. We were never able to get it to work again--so I hope we'll be able to watch a replay on YouTube at some point (my husband grew up in Manhattan and went to KU, so you know where our loyalties lie-which would be the only reason we'd want to watch a replay, I guess!!)😊 If you have ESPN+ they should make it available not too long after the broadcast is done. Maybe a couple of hours or so? It doesn't stay on there a long time, and you can't DVR it with a streaming service, but you should at least be able to watch it. For anyone that has any kind of rooting interest for KState, for whatever reason, it's worth watching. They played their tails off. I sincerely hope you get a chance to watch it. And all the Longhorn games seem to show up on Youtube, so you can go that route. I'm sorry for your technical difficulties. That's a bummer. Edit - Post a reply or send me a direct message if it would be helpful to walk you through playing a replay on ESPN+

Lol and Wenaas still in. I’m thinking JE is wanting Texas to lose this match to get them a more favorable spot in the bracket. It’s the only thing that is making sense for me.. I don’t get any of the coaching decisions being made. You’re gonna need to explain how losing helps you get a more favorable spot? Yeah this is rank nonsense. This is going to drop us to 8/9 and get us sent to the Nebraska regional

But watching the game I just think Texas did so much to help them out. Their high hitting percentage felt to me like it was impacted by Texas’ poor floor defense and undisciplined block. And we made too many service errors for the inconsistency of the service pressure we inflicted. They definitely deserve some credit but my opinion watching the game was not that Kansas State was amazing, it was they did a good job benefiting against an awful Texas performance. For example, I think Baylor the first two sets was making a lot of plays that weren’t as dependent on taking advantage of Texas’ mistakes.

This is going to drop us to 8/9 and get us sent to the Nebraska regional I think it would be better to get sent to Nebraska over Stanford. If they can somehow upset Nebraska (I don’t see it happening) they would have a much easier semifinal than if they end up beating Stanford.
