I was actually wondering if the students who stormed the court were reprimanded. FFS - LSU's *President* stormed the field when they beat Alabama in football last year. Some conferences seem to want field storming to stop. LSU was fined for its incidents last season, and the SEC is increasing the penalties. And I believe the schools are happy to pay those amounts. Tennessee would've paid $10 mil to allow their fans to storm the field after they beat Bama last year. Those moments are why they football players what to go there and honestly why a lot of regular students want to go to school there.

But I think the conferences are right to want to limit or eliminate field and court storming.

Shout out to the students who tried and boo to the security who stopped the court storming after the match. Why is this ok and celebrated in football and men's basketball, but not allowed for women? WE NEED A VOLLEYBALL COURT STORMING Storming the field/court is fun but can be dangerous - and that equals liability for schools, and they don't like that. The Big 12, the SEC and the Big Ten issue fines for fans storming the field in football. Not sure about basketball. The problem is, in the immediate aftermath of a game/match you've got opponent players scattered on the court/field. Protecting them becomes a logistical nightmare at that moment, but it is the direct responsibility of the host school. Years ago Nebraska had an incident in Columbia when Missouri beat us, their fans stormed the field, and one of our players clocked one of their fans in the face. It was 100% our dude's fault, unprovoked (maybe a little jeering, but nothing warranting a punch). Not sure if that student sued the school, but they could have. I like field storming. I think it's a fun part of the sport. But I understand why schools ban it. This is how I feel too. Is field storming fun? Yes. Is it potentially dangerous? Also yes, and I totally understand why the conferences don't want it.

...lol okay. hawaii just had to file a police report because of a threat made against their team, but sure, us wanting a player on the bench while hitting negative is bad. perspective check please. Hawaii and its fanbase have a notorious reputation of being one of the best hosts and making an entirely positive experience for student athletes who play in SSC. Some random wackjob (which from reading Hawaii's posts on VT threads over the years, could be any VT-Hawaii user) making a threat is not representative of that program. that's great but not really what was being discussed? they mentioned being horrible to your own players, not other teams players. read any of hawaii's threads pre-threat. they were insanely harsh to their own players. the threat, if anything, has seemed to put things in perspective and they've been better since.

im struggling to see how you're confused on why minnesota and texas fans have different views of her. Oh I’m sorry you’re mistaken again. I’m not confused… just wanted to highlight again (not that it needs my help) how both the Minnesota and Texas fan bases are the most horrible to their players. You sound very confused HawkAttack. What are you even talking about? No MN fan was "obsessed" with Wenaas over Landfair and Wurcherer. Wenaas was beloved by fans(and myself) because she was a team player and came up clutch many times for us. It doesn't sound like its going the same at Texas which is too bad. Please stop talking about a fanbase you are not a part of. Some Texas (and MN) fans can be harsh on their players but so can Nebraska and Wisconsin, they're just being nicer this year cuz they're winning. It comes with having a wide fanbase.

I finally got a chance to watch this match. Great win for K-State and Mansfield.
A couple observations: K-State has really good energy, led by Izzi Szulczewski. Izzi is a ton of fun to watch.
K-State has great cameras, like many other schools these days. Very easy to see touch or no-touch on the replays. Announcer mentioned that they invested $6 million on a better high-speed camera system. Man, I wish Stanford had that kind of money to improve their cameras; because their replays are a joke.

Seemed to me that when BYU crushed Texas in the first set, O’Neal got really ticked, focused, and just had the mindset “We will not lose”. I didn’t see her do that last night. She looked kinda, I don’t know, bored? nah I don’t think that’s the case. She looked engaged with her teammates on timeouts. It just wasn’t her night. And that’s okay. It happens.

How about going away with wood floors for the Volleyball players. It sure would be appreciated by the players on wear and tear.
