Yeah this is rank nonsense. This is going to drop us to 8/9 and get us sent to the Nebraska regional I think it would be better to get sent to Nebraska over Stanford. If they can somehow upset Nebraska (I don’t see it happening) they would have a much easier semifinal than if they end up beating Stanford. Yikes you are getting SO far ahead of the game. Based on how we played tonight, we might not even make it into the third round, never mind upsetting Nebraska |

I can’t wrap my head around how low Devin is with Elliott that he would watch what we watched and not insert her in to he match. Like… even if you think Jenna is going to improve by working through adversity, watching the end of set 2 and the beginning of set 3 should have told him that improvement isn’t going to come tonight.
KState played lights out. Congrats. Their setter was giving me Jhenna Gabriel vibes with her play far above her height and attitude.
I hate losing. But I hate losing more with the talent we have sitting on the bench. No one even went to the YBG bike!

None of Texas' outsides hit line or tip well...they make defenses look amazing. Same with opposing block. Jenna simply cannot pass or hit. Overall passing was awful from the DSs. Like awful. And I'm really confused about the the Texas block. KState's setting wasn't amazingly deceptive. Middle sets were not speedy. That was just a really bad Texas showing.

Problem is Devin's passing is definitely worse...but at least she doesn't find the 5'7" block every swing. |

No one even went to the YBG bike! it was surprising je did not make any adjustments...i wonder if devin is injured & something was up with o'neal tonite...the tv commentator made a comment in the match about o'neal having an injury (i don't believe he referenced the injury being @ the beginning of the season)...horns looked discombobulated & disconnected...k-state played a good match...too bad air byrd is injured too...hope this loss helps the team get it together |

Ok, watched the replay and it was mostly high level late season volleyball. The crowd was really into it and I'm sure that helped fuel the sweep. IMO Texas did not play badly, they dug balls and were in rallies but K-State was just a little better led by their queens, Izzi S and Carter. Texas scored in the 20s in every set so it wasn't necessarily their typical bad start/reverse sweep scenario that we've seen in the past. What K-State was able to do that other opponents seemingly haven't, is to prevent any long runs by the Horns. A lot of that was the OOS hitting of Carter, good setting choices by Izzi, and very good back court D by Morris. Jason Mansfield has his K-State squad playing at a high level. I met Jason when he was at Stanford, and he's a very good coach, especially wrt attacking and blocking.
