Crazy stat Master's vs Arizona Christian. Masters wins 3 sets to 0. Senior night. A little used opposite. Had zero sets played going into the match. Tonight, 3 sets played tonight and 29 kills.

Blake Music from OUAZ suffered what looked like to be a serious injury against Cal Lutheran during their 3 set loss on Thursday. Wishing him a speedy recovery.

Las vegas would be a good place with a ton of places to stay and a ton of choices to play. You all understand that you "bid" for it, right? Convention bureaus put together packages of hotels, airports, lodging, and cost of arena, then NAIA picks the site. Did any of the "it would be better here" places bid?? If so, maybe there is an argument, but if not, why not?

Home advantage strikes again in the heart. GV with a chance to get some revenge on MoValley will be a super fun game next week. As for Park vs Penn think the Penn crowd and Penn wanting to get a win at home will be crucial for them to get the win.

WHAC Tournament
Tuesday, April 16
7:00pm #3 Indiana Tech vs #6 Siena Heights
7:00pm #4 Mt Vernon Nazarene vs #5 Lawrence Tech
Friday, April 19
Hosted by Lourdes
4:00pm #1 Lourdes vs #4/#5 winner
7:00pm #2 Cornerstone vs #3/#6 winner
Honestly at this point it's a toss up who wins this conference. Lourdes losing their last 2, Lawrence tech and Cornerstone could get hot and Indiana Tech has been inconsistent too this season.

My guess for the final top 15 poll coming out tomorrow: 1. Masters 2. Vanguard 3. OUAZ 4. Grand View 5. William Penn 6. Menlo 7. Park 8. Saint Xavier 9. Jamestown 10. Georgetown 11. Missouri Valley 12. Missouri Baptist 13. Mount Mercy 14. Lourdes 15. Reinhardt
Final poll will set up how teams are evaluated for at large bids so it will be interesting. Heart semi final matches tomorrow will likely shape what final at large bid looks like.

Grand View won both matches between teams. Also surprised Lourdes stayed at 13 but other hand no other options to put up in that spot really.

Everything else made sense to me. I think the top 5 seeds for nationals will look like this. The rest of the seeds will be determined by winner of the conference tournaments and if there are upsets. 1. Winner of GSAC tournament if it is Vanguard or Masters. (If OUAZ win GSAC tournament, I think Masters will be #1 seed) 2. At Large-1- 2nd place in GSAC tournament (or Masters if they lose in conference semi finals) 3. I think it SHOULD be loser on GSAC semi final between OUAZ and Vanguard (At Large-2) but i think it WILL be the Heart tournament champion just to avoid conference vs conference in pool D. 4. See #3 above. I think this SHOULD be Heart tournament champion but WILL be loser of GSAC semi final between Vanguard and OUAZ (At Large-2). 5. At Large-3 A team from the Heart. Probably the Heart tournament 2nd place finisher.

Dumb question, how many at larges are there? Just three There are technically four, but one of them is taken up by the host bid of Mount Mercy.

I assume it is because Grand View had a worse upset to mount mercy, a receiving votes team at the time it I remember correctly, but I agree from something so close I believe it should come down to head to head and I think a sweep on the season is a big deal, especially the winning at William Penn for people who know the heart environment that's a pretty big deal

Grand View beats Missouri Valley in 4 and William Penn beats Park in 5, effectively ending the season for Valley and Park.
I think both Grand View and William Penn also wrapped up a birth to the national tournament with the win. I do see one scenario that could keep the loser of Saturday’s championship match out, but I don’t see that happening. If Menlo were to win the GSAC championship they would take the auto bid and I don’t see how the committee would not give the three at large bids to (A) Masters- currently ranked #1 with only one NAIA loss and head to head win over Grand Biew (B) Vanguard- currently ranked #2 with only two losses (to #1 and #2) and defending national champion (C) OUAZ- currently ranked #3 with a win over Vanguard and head to head over William Penn.
Thoughts?
