Hey, she came up with her own hashtag! I'm just here appreciating her humor : )
I also liked her "SEC you soon!" pun, but the irony of an ~22 year old calling themself a boomer was even funnier.
EDIT: Thanks to uofaGRAD for kindly letting me know that "boomersooner" isn't an original, self-deprecating hashtag poking fun at one's self for being an older undergrad. I appreciate the opportunity to clarify that I'm merely (woefully) uneducated on 19th century US history, and not someone celebrating illegal land settlement and the displacement of Native Americans. Apologies for giving that impression. |

Yikes!!! I just now looked up what a "boomer sooner" is on Wikipedia and yeah, I'm not here for that. Thanks for the catch! Might have to add some strikethroughs and disclaimers on those posts!

Sadly, it's the truth. High school US history class was a long time ago for me but I honestly don't ever remember learning the term and I feel like we just glossed over everything that happened between the Civil War and World War I in that class. And I've never wondered what a "Sooner" was- literally just thought it was one of the dumber sounding mascot names (like Hoosiers) and never cared enough to look up what it meant.

We're good on that front, too! They're canceled because they swept my Illini in non-con this season, decimating our rpi : )
