Thank you! I don't need this in this thread. Go start another. I come here to get away from all the illiterate idiots elsewhere. Now they are here. ok let's pump the brakes a lil on the namecalling just because people don't align w your views The name-calling wouldn't have happened had a handful of posters not brought politics into this thread in the first place. That's just one example of why not to bring politics here as it rubs people the wrong way. To those of you who posted about politics, I would like to suggest for you to simply delete your posts; no good will come of it if you leave them as is. And, future quote-replies will be inevitable short term and long term as different posters read your posts for the first time. It will ruin this thread.

if we run a 6-2, no way does Akana not ds jenna Doesn't 6-2 + Akana subbing for someone get us into substitution shortages je might play around with a 6-2 but i see him running a 5-1...peps are trying to figure out the setters situation...he will probably give them both some playing time...i believe swindle will end up the starter...akana is playing

The competition is good.

There’s plenty of name calling without political posts. I agree politics is polarizing, especially in today’s day and age, but some of what you’re ascribing to political posts is the nature of human interaction. I still say the best way not to continue to have political posts is to not make a reference to them and instead focus the conversation on something else. Continuing to talk about how people shouldn’t make political posts or should delete their previous posts is a good way to keep the topic front and center.

The competition is good. I agree that Texas got hot at the right time, but this is the second year in a row Texas serving hit a different gear once the tournament started. I don’t have any data to back me up, but in terms of serving it felt a little like the governor was taken off when the tournament rolled around. Of course, that doesn’t explain the early struggles against A&M or surviving match point versus Tennessee. To me A&M was when everyone finally realized just keep feeding it to Skinner wherever she is on the court and let her do her thing. It’s like punching in a cheat code in a video game.

It doesn't belong in this thread about Texas volleyball; what don't you get about that? Find another message board for that. You should have been better than to take the bait and quote-reply to the initial post that had a political reference. You could have ignored it, but you chose the opposite option. Guess you won't be deleting your post(s); figured as much. It's funny that YOU are giving advice to not reference political posts when you're the one who made one of the initial posts. The best way to GUARANTEE no one references your posts in the future is if you deleted them; 100% guarantee no one can quote-reply to your post if it no longer exists.

I’m on the message board for conversation. If there’s a post I feel like responding to, I’m going to. I’m not real concerned with how on topic I am. I feel like I have a history of demonstrating that. Often with novellas. What I did do is put up a post in an attempt to shift the conversation. The truth is there’s not much about the team I find particularly discussion worthy until we see more of what Elliott wants to do with the team. I feel like I have a good handle on the top 7 personnel. Things are subject to change, but as you’ve pointed out Elliott likes his veterans. And I don’t have a strong opinion on setter. Emotionally I’m Team Swindle but I like Carlson, too. May the best candidate win and what a luxury to have the kind of quality backup we’ll have for another championship run.

I think that Carlson is the better singular player between her and swindle, but swindle just fits this team better with her offensive style, she can dump if they ever need a kill and wennas isn’t being confident. She can block better. I think Averi is better just because she has had to carry such a large load at Baylor

I also think we played this akana situation perfectly, we didn’t think she could carry a larger load her first season so we had Halter, then last year we brought in Barnes to help her. And now it’s her senior season and she gets to be the lone DS proving we have confidence in her now!!
