2028 manifest: Logan at Opp. Skinner sister at OH. Who is gonna pass? Who cares, but Fleck is the answer. Oh and SKT setting us to an Olympic gold i wouldn't have a problem with Madi developing as THEE USA OPP though.... like an Egonu, a Vargas, a Kiera Van Ryk, a Stysiak (well maybe not cuz she's pretty error prone...) i just feel like our OPP come 2028 should be our most athletic person on the court in this era of dominant opposites |

Here they are using the Hawkeye for review. So, somewhere there are cameras. In a social media post over the summer, the posting made it look like there were newer, bigger gametime screens. Someone said they probably photoshopped those bigger screens in to help make the picture. Yup, these were the some old screens. They didn't display stats during the game.
Finally, look at the center of the last picture. The player that looks unfamiliar to you is Soah Franklin. During this picture, she was laughing because a player was coming off the court and the team was giving her high fives and doing some special extra celebration and she was confused and laughed at the whole confusion.
When she finally got on the court in the 5th set, she took about 15-20 seconds and stopped and looked at us still left in the stands (1/3 of the original crowd) and smiled. I think she was so happy to be playing in a place that still had so many fans left in the 5th set of a meaningless game. And throughout the 5th set, she was constantly smiling - so happy to be playing on a good team even thought she's literally last team MB. And, she's not half bad.

Last year Texas began the year as preseason #1 and ended up #1 in the poll in the final AVCA ranking too, without spending any time there in between.
I predict we probably get the nod at #1 this year too, with the championship bump to just edge out Nebraska. Even though they bring back much more production, the coaches won’t look at it that way IMO. But either team has a strong case.

What I was looking for was the cameras up higher. What was transmitting this? And if you could transmit this, why couldn't you transmit it to SECN?  |

time for my yearly gripe about preseason rankings [clears throat] i firmly believe every college sport should have at least one full month of competition before rankings come out

The only benefit of #1 is the "drop" from a loss still keeps us in the top 4-6, whereas if we started say #9 and we lost, we'd drop to #11 and then we'd have to claw our way up to the top 4 to host supers.
But yeah, having #1 on your back adds undue pressure.
