losing sucks but the crazy talk Too many fans on here take winning for granted and acting entitled; and, they don't know how to accept a loss with grace. Always looking to blame one or two players, or somebody because they don't understand that in team sports, you win as a team, and you lose as a team. Hey bud, this is a message board where people come for discussion about the team. This year people have rightfully been upset by the performance and I think fairly critical of many members on this team. I can’t remember any years past with so many sets where Texas was down by 8-10 points. Pretty much everyone on this team has taken a step back from last year. If you can’t handle people being a little upset about the team underperforming maybe take a break from VT.

More changes to rotations before the previous changes were fully absorbed. It's a TEAM effort. Passing and setting basics are not nearly as good as they should be, and these are the same DS and libero as last year, but the team is not clicking. IMO we needed Devin's serving.

It’s so kind of Texas to give all these other programs false hope before they flip a switch and dominate through December. Charitable work.

Y'all I miss the bic. Devin's d ball too. I really liked seeing them in the Georgia and Arkansas games. Then I remembered 2022 and 2023 also felt light on bics at some point in the season, so maybe it's part of the strategy? I think it's needed for the tournament, but maybe they don't want it to be so crucial for the offense other teams are focusing on it.
Also, if the setter switch stays, Swindle would be setting the bic now. She and Madi had a great connection on the bic last year. Maybe this makes Swindle's rotations more effective and Carlson can continue connecting with Madi front row.
Or we go 5-1. From what the commentators were saying, it sounded like JE was adamant the 6-2 is here too stay. But I feel like the more absolute JE is about something, the less I trust him. 💀 (Like how he told the Point Texas group there would be no backrow attacks only for multiple players to be set backrow an hour later...)

The scheduling is wild. Lowk I think they have changes already planned for each game and switching the setters was the first part. Not sure what they're building to, but that's how they've been making adjustments in the 6-2 so far.

Missouri was well prepared. Crownover has elevated her team, and she seemed to be motivated. She was great on setting, offence and defence. Can't overlook that. The other teams will be just as prepared. But we can't give up on our team.

Passing numbers posted on the match thread:
Halter: 2.24 (29) Wenaas: 2.04 (24) Skinner: 1.71 (26) Akana: 1.54 (13) 1.92 as a team
Perez Catala: 2.28 (34) Sands: 2.76 (25) Vernon: 2.02 (25) Demarrais: 2.13 (8) 2.33 as a team
While watching the match, I didn't think we were serving tough enough; maybe that's part of the reason Mizzou passed so well. Texas had 5 service aces and 8 service errors; that's low number of errors in a 5-set match. Does it mean we weren't being aggressive enough at the service line? Maybe so.
For those wanting to blame Wenaas for everything, her passing numbers were pretty good. We have no other pin hitter who can put up numbers better than those, IMO, and that's why she will remain on the court all 6 rotations.
