I don’t think we have to choose one setter, or any particular rotation, immediately. But I don’t see mixing & matching for a whole season being the likely way to go. I definitely prefer single-setter offenses, but there is enough talent to justify a 6-2 or 5-2. I’d prefer a 5-2, as unusual as that would be for a major college team, but who knows what the staff has in mind. It’s for certain an interesting thing to watch, however it plays out.

Yeah, no matter how you slice it, an unexpected upset loss to an unranked team is an upset loss. Biggest differences: - it was Texas' first match of the 2023 season, while Nebraska was playing its fourth match of the 2024 season - Texas was without one of its starters in Asjia O'Neal; Nebraska was completely healthy - Texas was playing a true freshman at setter; Nebraska was playing its returning sophomore starting setter

in case we still feel bad about Minnesota, just remember Nebraska has been swept twice in their last 5 matches, both by Texas teams😁

I personally want to see Swindle setting flat-footed again. Her location and timing to all the hitters was night and day during the tournament run last season. Plus we need her blocking in the front row.

Plus we need her blocking in the front row. I'm not sure why we didn't see more setter dumps this past weekend. Maybe they were instructed to prioritize building hitter connections?

Plus Caffey, in addition to O’Neal’s temporary absence). Nebraska was replacing one (1) 3 rotation outside who played mostly due to injury. And they brought in 2 elite freshman, the big ten POY and one of the best available middle transfers.

I’m excited for tomorrow, Indiana has great Setter and Libero play, should be a fun match!

I tested out a new outfit for the new season. These amazing Ralph Lauren burnt orange cuffed shorts and a white button down.
Methinks I’ll dust off the burnt orange blazer from the last two seasons, just until we have a setter. These things matter.

Good luck, if Texas is off Indiana could make things interesting, although I would really be surprised if they upset Texas.
