At-large - they were the regular season champs in the MW, but lost in the semis of the conference tournament. USU gamed the RPI well and were at 17 I think? |

According to RPI, Utah State was #17 - like the argument for them to host wouldn't have been ridiculous. We need a new system.

This win alone (assuming it happens) makes me satisfied with the season. I know, I know, they look great here and why not want more. I do want more and believe the Gophers have a real chance vs. Creighton. But, given where they once were this season, to make the tournament and win in the first round and get the opportunity to play the host seed, will leave me content - as long as their performance in the second match isn't dismal. Should be an intriguing matchup specially that both the Gophers and Bluejays have peaked late in the season (Creighton was dealing with injuries so it’s a different story than Minnesota obviously) but should be a fun game. I have Creighton winning a close one though. |

Hats off to the little girl in the Nebraska One hoodie who traded places with her mom so she would show up on the ESPN camera right between the commentators! I picture someone going back to find this footage when she’s grown up and on the court herself.

MN don't do this. Yeah, I expect Utah State to rebound a bit, but don't get into some significant hole in this set.
