Interesting new look for home matches next year. They are moving the students behind the service lines and making the old student section reserved. Not sure what to think if the move.
"To enhance the match day experience, a new student seating area has been created for the 2024 season with the addition of section 115. Sections 109, 110, 209 and 210 will now be available to fans as additional Sideline Reserved seating."

Better for the students! Most student sections are on the end so they can heckle the opposing team especially when they serve. Also can chant back and forth. |

I don't think those are better. Maybe the first couple of rows but that would be it. |

So with the addition of Averie for 2 years, TdB, Smith, Aguaro & Wysocki - who do you think we might be targeting for 2026’s? Randall is heir to Mosher, so are we looking at MB’s?

After the 2024 season we will have Bohm for two years, Philpot for three and Pitcel for four. Most teams carry four scholarship middles, so I assume we will want to add at least one middle for 2026. Laynie can play middle although I don’t think her playing middle is the current plan. Pitcel played pin for some of the teams she played for, which may be the plan for her. Aguaro and Wysocki are small for Tamas pins. There is some flexibility with the players on the current roster and who have committed, but I think at least one middle and possibly two pins is likely. |

JP was named to week 2 of VNL. Hopefully a good sign she will be named to the 2024 Olympic team.

Don't know if this was mentioned earlier, but Illinois playing in the Western Kentucky tournament in mid-September. Thanks for the share! That looks like a great tourney- my very weak grasp of how RPI works is that a tournament like that with three opponents that are usually among the top couple teams in their conferences would be a boon to our RPI. Nice! |
