If football doesn’t get going it will be really rough under this settlement looming.

If football doesn’t get going it will be really rough under this settlement looming. Football and MBB are going to keep the vast majority of the money for themselves. IMO, it's been fairly clear that all the other sports are going to need to raise their own capital. For example, they moved the student sections to open up more seats to sell at the higher price point. Let's ignore the fact that attendance has been declining b/c the team (coaches) are underperforming compared to previous year. And they are playing fewer matches at home, especially if you discount those Wednesday night BTN matches that are difficult for families to attend. So, yeah, not great.

Yup - when the on-the-court product isn’t great or drawing in fans on a consistent basis, there’s no incentive to host pre-season matches/tournaments when they’re not going to sell tickets/cost money. I appreciate the Tamas method of recruiting good humans first/skilled players second, but when there’s a dollar amount tied to your program’s success, that has to change.

Great players that are good people are available.

Great players that are good people are available. College sports these days is now about education + winning. I wouldn't mind a huge star with a little attitude. I love a fiery player who plays with some stank. Sometimes all the kumbaya doesn't result in wins.

Just wondering if you’re going to wish for something, why not wish for something to inspire to. An athlete who is fiercely competitive and fights for every point and wants to destroy the other team and is a good person with sportsmanship, well spoken and makes good grades. Now that’s some stank.
