He's been here a full season. They're his players now. If they transfer, that's on him. Not necessarily. We know that players often go to a program because of the coach and their particular coaching style and leave when that coach is gone. It's possible that some players decided to stay this year but now know they don't "click" with his coaching style and opt to leave. I'm not going to put that on him. None of this year's squad, with the exception of Grote and maybe Murr, came to Minnesota because of Cook. (I could be wrong and I will readily concede that point) Agreed. Presumably a coach is doing roster management and projections based upon current players and recruiting. Keegan inherited these players except for Grote, Awoleye, and Murr. The players that people are talking about leaving would appear to be due to a glut of players at their position. |

Looks like Dodson from UCLA might be in the portal too. She would be exactly what this team needs. She reminds me a lot of Pittman.

Is Sarah Morton from MN? She is following half the team along with olivia. I know a few of them may know each other from club, but I would think olivia would be too young.
I don’t know if she is a CC or Murr, but I wouldn’t be mad getting an experienced Libero.

I haven’t watched much of Auburn team this season but she has been their starting L since her freshman year last year so she definitely is an experienced L. Looked up some stats - Morris (Kstate) led the big 12 in digs/set with 4.82, Morton (Auburn) was 9th in the SEC with 3.47. No idea about passing numbers though and those are obviously important for MN 🙃 |

For what it's worth, my son is of that age and he interpreted Julia's post as a post season photo dump. He's also acquainted with Wuch's boyfriend, and he (my son) thought it was funny that VT is projecting her staying because of that. Maybe we're putting too much weight on college romantic relationships, I dunno. I'll hang on to any hope I can get. Jordan Wilson left USC bc she wanted to join her BF (baseball player) at Arizona. |

Gopher fans - how confident are we about our starters returning? I'm on pins and needles every time someone posts something vague in the transfer tea thread (which is about 10x/day). I'd love for Landfair and Wucherer to post something like "I'm a Gopher, respect my decision". Agreed. Wucherer just made a post with no hints. However, she just started following the Penn state assistant coach, AND with that tea post about a massive OH in the portal….. idk….. That post was about Isabel Martin. |

But Morton has 2 years of eligibility left. jwvolley, do you happen to have the passing numbers for both Morris and Morton? Thanks  |

I don't think that matters. It's not "he's never had a player transfer that he's recruited", I think it's "he's never had a player transfer when he's been a head coach". Perhaps, but I'm not going to fault him for players that leave if they were not players he brought to the program. Maybe Crowl because he recruited over her to bring in Grote. Hanson is on Hugh for creating a backlog of OHs, which also caused Wenass to leave. |
