Same thing happened with Hord transferring to Nebraska. Finding the right players that fit your coaching system is so important, it’s a puzzle that needs the right pieces. Really nice to hear KCook and co being so intentional about who they bring in Now we will get the chance to see how Tayla fits into Nebraska's system. The Landfair situation is so interesting. I certainly can't see her being a 6-ro player in that system with that competition. She might even struggle to find court time as a front row player. Beason, Murray, Krause, Skyler Pierce, etc. But my predominant feeling is that she is going to have a big year.

Personally, I felt KCook made the wrong call on his coaching staff last season. Right now it appears we have a huge improvement with our two new additions. Here's hoping my statement turns out to be very positive this upcoming season. With this '24' Gopher team there is Lots of development that needs to happen in all positions to be more successful. But IMO we have the right proven coaches in place.

She definitely could have a big year, if she isn't playing 6 rotations and with the right attitude. A different setter will be huge for her too and she would have complete focus at the OH position. With all this said, does she start?

Any insider info on big names attending camp? I am hearing Hoecke, Divita, Burley and DeBoer (‘27 setter). Maybe Williams too.

the timing with Acevedo seems perfect to get these prospects even more excited about being gophers 🤞🏻

Not a big fan of hers huh?

the timing with Acevedo seems perfect to get these prospects even more excited about being gophers 🤞🏻 Is Acevedo staying in Minnesota and camping with them? Unless they get to see her play, I doubt this has any impact. I'd bet good money that the class of 2026/2027 in this region don't even know who she is. These girls are too young to have known Acevedo in club, and she doesn't have any youth national team exposure. Just on the fundamentals, I can't imagine that Divita is all that thrilled, considering that Kinney, Swenson, and now Acevedo will be around until 2028. So long as Nebraska passes on Hoecke, I think Gopher fans should feel solid about that one.

Also, I mean Swenson is a decent player, don't I don't think she would keep any top level recruit from saying yes to the Gophers.
