I'm usually not the one who cares about this, but I believe this is the one transition year where (a) the NCAA is NOT sending a standardized court, and (b) there is no requirement for Teraflex (that IS a requirement starting in 2024). Stanford's court looks so much cheaper and worse than the other three regionals. Not great for the ESPN broadcast. The rumor is that Stanford will have Teraflex in 2024. I think it was the all-knowing BobK who told us that Stanford will have Taraflex next year, after the current remodeling project is complete. Prior to that, there wasn't anywhere to store a Taraflex VB floor while Maples is set up for basketball or other sports (!). |

So is having or not having fire the new standard for quality volleyball? I sure hope not. I'm afraid it will become as meaningless as "they really came to play." As far as ASU having "fire" in their latest matches: They lost 3 after beating Stanford. They appear to have the D to contend, but I'll be surprised if they win more than one set.

I cant with Stanford…they be stressin me out…idk if i can watch a match until the final 4…i do not want them to get upset before than…so let me know when they make it that far than ill be able to watch and enjoy it thanks lol

If not, how come? and will it stop for future years? I feel like it is much cooler doing this, than having the schools own court. |
