I'm a little surprised we haven't heard a peep about any transfers. The season starts in only a couple of months and we haven't heard a thing. Maybe Robyn and staff have no one coming in? I agree. A little nervous. But hopeful.

Saw on Rich Kern’s site that Paula G is going to U of Miami not a bad landing spot, maybe she needed an international feel. Dunno if she’ll start but best of luck to her

I recall Pono's daughter played there. I still don't understand why Paula left. She said she transferred here because she wanted to play in front of a supportive large crowd (paraphrasing) and she's transferring to U of Miami which averaged only 636 attendees per home game last year?! She was going to be a starter this year so not sure what's up with that transfer. NIL money?

Positives are beautiful campus, insane "Miami Vice" style parties at mansions and on yachts for the beautiful people (like Paula), super fun campus atmosphere and, of course, ca$h from extremely wealthy donors which I imagine could be used for NIL payouts. And they have some pretty good departments for students interested in education too.

No NIL for foreign players, I remember there was an article talking about this about this for the men's team.

I'm going to go out on a limb to say that Paula probably had some differences with the coaches. She does not seems to have a problem with her teammates since she continued to hang with them after her announcement of transfer.
Could also be she is not a fan of Robyn's intensity and may be looking for a place where volleyball is fun and not a "job".
Good luck to her. This is her last year. If she wants fun, then I guess Miami can give her plenty of fun.🤩🤩🤩🤩

I think someone needs to just hit up her DMs and ask her straight up. She didn’t come off as the type who just “couldn’t hack it” or crumbles under tougher coaching. I guess time will tell..

Maybe she doesn't have pro aspiration. I mean, Robyn had played at the highest level both nationally and internationally. Robyn would be the perfect coach to help her achieve that goal of preparing her for the next level. A very competitive practice gym, hard work, and intensity is what UH is all about. She obviously has an issue with one or more of these things so she decided to move on. I don't see see how moving to University of Miami will help elevate her game. OR maybe she just hate to run that 7 minute mile again. Looking at the roster. UM will be loaded with freshmen and Sophomores. Looks like she will be the only senior so it appears she is looking for someplace to be a "go to" player and Miami may fit her since they have such a young squad. She will probably get a large number of sets like she did at YSU but would not get at UH.

A bit late for them to announce this!!! Avecido to Wisconsin after all. It goes to show, what whatever your initial reasons may have been to transferring, it's hard to resist the allure of the big name schools. She actually just committed to Minnesota which was probably the best long term move for her.

I hope that Hakas and Adeyemi are ready for taking on a huge load for this team. Not trying to be a Debbie downer but I don’t expect anything exciting to come into the program at this point. Probably just recruiting depth at this point. I’m sorry koa, you’re on it for the men’s side but looks like you got all our hopes up for nada

He drops hints once on awhile on the women's and beach forums but the excitement is on the men's upward trajectory.
