The cockroach is back at it again smh Very excited to see Texas on the schedule. I doubt we have The Beach’s same level of success but it’s good to play the previous season’s top team if you have any aspirations to reviving a program. How can you revive a program when you keep losing to the Top Teams and also, not bring in Top Athletes by playing the Top Teams. None of that made sense, please tell your nurse to take your screens away and up your meds

Texas is the only top team we are playing this year. They might be the only Top 25 team we play all season, depending on how Baylor starts off. From an RPI standpoint, you should play 1-2 games against "impossible" teams because the outcome can't hurt you.

I did call that one right. Made sense, Texas has trouble finding opponents, and Hawai'i has nothing to lose playing a top 5 RPI team on the road.

Based on other school's schedules, a majority already have their second week full. Looking like it could be a tournament with UCLA/BYU/Pepperdine or one of those teams in a two-match series

The Wahine have absolutely nothing to lose playing at Texas. Texas gets an opponent at home, the Wahine lose nothing taking their shot at a very top team on the road. Meanwhile, any chatter about 2026 recruits for the Wahine? Would be top news from the Star-Advertiser back in the day. Now I am not so sure. I am glad Punzel, who has been in with Sheffield since the beginning, is still somewhat with the Wisconsin State Journal due to that. Changes in the media market, but I still believe Wahine news would draw views!

Kate Lang (S, University of Hawaii) alternate makes roster or NORCECA final 6.

Looking like it could be a tournament with UCLA/BYU/Pepperdine or one of those teams in a two-match series We only have one more spot to fill thanks to the Big West 20 game conference series. It's likely an earlier posted indicated--midweek game vs. UNLV. So we pretty much know the whole OOC schedule now.

The other setters on that team (Miner and Tuaniga) are both amazing so for Lang right up there (or just behind) them is amazing. I'm glad she's finally getting her flowers as she has made noticeable improvement over the years. (Also proof that Robyn can coach setters lol) Kate for All-American anyone?

I'm happy that Kate had the opportunity to be exposed to USA volleyball, but wanted to clarify that Kate Lang did not make the final cut and is an alternate

I'm happy that Kate had the opportunity to be exposed to USA volleyball, but wanted to clarify that Kate Lang did not make the final cut and is an alternate still great so see. Looks like she made a pretty big splash from being a top 25 setter last year to top 10ish this year.
