I'm happy that Kate had the opportunity to be exposed to USA volleyball, but wanted to clarify that Kate Lang did not make the final cut and is an alternate still great so see. Looks like she made a pretty big splash from being a top 25 setter last year to top 10ish this year. Yep ..she was chosen over Zayna Meyer who the BW choice for BW 1st team setter

I noticed that the Wahine has yet to announce their signing class. I wonder if they are holding out for one more and then announce it at one time or they could be holding out until season renewals go out and maximize the excitement of these girls. There is a lot to hype for this class. All three local recruits are in the Hawaii’s top 15. Mili was D2 player of the year while Adrianna was D1 player of the year. All three were All State. Adrianna was 2nd team AA. Maddie was dominant at MB for her nationally ranked Sierra Canyon team. Victoria was El Paso defensive player of the year. Got to be one of the better recruiting classes Robyn has had. Three could potential play as a freshman….Maddie, Mili and Victoria. Adrianna will be behind an all conference setter and national team invitee in Kate Lang so she will need to wait her turn. Malinah is the further away from being ready to play but oozes athleticism and physicality. With hard work, she could be contributing down the road. Stumbled on this old post but I’m hopeful these new recruits will shine and help elevate this team for the fall. Let’s see if theirs any surprise players still to be announced for fall

Hide this before some crazy person comes in here accusing them of not focusing on being student athletes enough.

Who is the founder of this Club? Not sure the founder, but Shelton Tang is listed as the Director of Coaching. He was a long time video coordinator for both the men’s and women’s programs at UH, and had a stint as an assistant for the Warriors, under Wade. Looks like Charlie is or was affiliated with the club at some point as well, and his sons played for them as youngsters. aoakoavolley.com/

Great way to nurture and develop these young Wahine into leaders on the court. In time, both will be running our offense.
