I would say it’s less a commentary on what the team has and more about where theyre struggling than anything else. I don’t doubt Amber would also add value to the team, but even if she were theoretically with the roster I suspect the passing would be holding her back anyways. Foundation always has to come first. Heavy hitters and standouts take a solid foundation into the next level. Our team's passing numbers (at least the ones that are posted here) here have been fine. The blocking has been abysmal, and it's super apparent we're missing Igiede and Evans. |

Igiede would of course help this team a lot with her blocking and offensive prowess, and can you imagine how much fun rotations with Igiede and this year's Alexander front row would NOT be for opponents? Pick your poison! On the good side, The Wahine were getting lot of positive block touches against LBSU, which helped with the large discrepancy in digs.

We've had some really great middles over the years: Heather Bown, Angelica Ljungqvist, Veronica Lima, Victoria Prince, Amber Kaufman, and recently Emily Maglio. You can add Amber to that list of greats. Hey, you forgot about the BEST Wahine Middle Dietre Collins. How can you forget about her. I forgot about her because I was in college on the mainland during the time that she played but yea, she should be on the list also... |

Yeah Nalani was special. She's definitely in my top 3. As for Dietre, I was in college on the mainland from 1980-84 so I never really got to see her play but her reputation is what got her on my list. |

I would add Heather Bown, Jamie Houston, Amber Kaufman, Katherine (truly think shes one of the great setters), And while only one year, Tita Akiu. Only Heather Bown, the others..(Houston and Kaufman)...although they were great, they weren't spectacular like a Willoughby or Tonya Williams. Kaufman was an awful blocker. |
