The reason I say that, Coach Ang would have improved her blocking ability tremendously. But not only that, Amber Igiede would have been a much better attacker, a definite 1st Team All American Middle. Welp, she had a drop off from .433 and 1.29 blocks per set her junior year to .396 and 1.09 blocks per set her senior year, but those are gaudy numbers! But it still did not make her a 1st Team All American. If Coach Ang was her coach during those years, Amber's number would have been so much better. She would have made 1st Team All American. |

Agreed and well said. If you have multiple losses in the BW it almost doesn't matter what you've done in the preseason. Yes and tomorrow's opponent is literally the 300th ranked team in the RPI and 275th in the KPI. Just stepping on the floor with them lowers the RPI lol 🫠Hmmmm Going post season as an underdog Conference Champion would be a blast. |

Wisconsin has been strongest in middle blockers since I started watching them in 1999. I think 9 middle blockers have made an AA team, not honorable mention, 2 have been first team, I think, Livingston and Rettke. Livingston was tons ahead of others athletically in 2000-01, her last 2 seasons, making the national title match her junior year, and Rettke was 6'8." I love, love, love Igiede, but she did not have those jump out advantages! |

Personally, I don't have the type of attachment to my favorite teams that leads me to feel sad/mad when they lose. But when they win, especially when they're not supposed to, it is so fun for me. |

I'm still gonna ride thar coaching staff. Everyone going after them and rightfully so especially with the Davis loss. But for the record....sistah Mary some of you guys despise ain't going not a damn where. Lol She is the 2nd most successful current UH head coach in that entire athletic dept. So unless they start putting up multiple years of missing the tournament....it ain't happening anytime soon.

What is going on with UH women volleyball? When was the last time UC Davis beat UH? Per their website first in Dan Connors history and first since 2013. IMO Davis level of play was consistent with prior years; unfortunately, UH underperformed compared to prior year teams. |

Some added perspective/context though on the hitting numbers ... in igiede's senior year, she was set over 300 more times (855 senior year versus 520 junior year), which means she was being set a whole lot more including situations that were not always as optimal for a middle attack. In that context, hitting .396 is still remarkably solid, given she was also averaging 4.35 kps, compared to 3.96 kps the year before. |

Shes gonna be good for Germany, hope to see her at the Olympics one day. She's playing with former Collegians Madelyn Robinson, Krystal Rivers, and Bre Morisette. Wish we could saw her suit up in a Wahine uniform but best of luck to Leilani |

Idk if just me but I’m confused w this coaching? Maybe putting the taller athletic ones in the front who can reach so the shorter ones don’t get tired jumping all game and miss crucial points when the team needs it. Missed blocks, not being able to finish on kills because no one reads the court or blocks, and just plain out getting stuffed because it’s so predictable. We gotta pick it up if we even have a chance in the Big West Championship.
