Glad to see that some of you are coming around to the idea of an experienced middle transfer. IMHO that's the most immediate need for 2024 - 2025...if we could get a transfer like Magill or better yet a transfer like Heather Bown that would be incredible. Speaking of Magill, I see she's working for NBC now. Good for her. Lol I mean having an injured middle recruit coming in kinda makes it an imperative. One of our best seasons to date was one where we had 1 experienced middle returning and 2 freshmen at the position platooning. |

Well I was definitely more in the high level scoring pin camp before it seemed like Stella could actually be a force next season. If that’s the case and Tali is a solid backup we can prob manage. Not to mention Ways surgery is recent somewhat I've been concerned about our middle situation since we found out that Maddie got hurt and had surgery. Our outsides next year we have Paula, Caylen, Stella, and Hakas. In a pinch we could insert Adriana or Purcell-Telefoni and even Mane in an extreme pinch. That makes 7 pin hitters. For middle next year we will have Bamis, Mili, and Maddie as our true middles. 3 middles - that's it. Bamis I'm not sold on and Maddie is coming off of a knee injury/surgery and will definitely be behind, and both Mili and Maddie have zero D1 college experience. We are WAY thinner next year at middle than pin hitters but for some reason some were insisting on here that we needed another pin hitter. But like I said, I'm glad to see some are coming around to see that another middle should be our priority.  |

That would be great if Hawaii could land a solid one in the bridge post Amber Igiede and maybe make it a priority to add into Reid’s class. |

Just like Bucky brought up, I agree but if they aren’t going to go after local talent. I wonder if the staff puts more effort into finding one, solid priority libero talent from the mainland that has gone up against the upper level hitters throughout club. I don’t know what Leyva’s weekend to weekend club schedule was, but being Texas would probably has to mean she’s gone up against hitters who can bring it. Could be a big plus as compared to local talent that hasn’t seen the biggest hitters out there. I think some of the best setting talents come out of Hawaii and hopefully Arquette has that in our future. |

Especially since this will be one of the last opportunities to recruit from a larger pool due to covid year folks Yeah I feel like we potentially played the whole Covid extra year thing wrong. |
