If we kept Hellvig, this team would of been so good I know shes not lighting it up professionally but she would of been so good in college same with Jolie in 2021 Imagine having Hellvig with Amber throughout the years... what could have been... 🖕 Covid BVS , Jolie , Hellvig and Amber 2020…. Man the potential fr!! 😩

All that happened, happened for a reason. BVS may not have become the BVS fans know if she was surrounded by those players. Same for Amber.

UCSB just got one of the Ostovars, I still think Layli would be a great 6 rotation pickup for the future. She'll make a great DS

so who does hawaii have coming in for '24? nothing about incoming class mentioned in this "2024" thread so far. That’s just because everyone within the immediate fanbase already knows who is coming and we talked extensively about it in the 2023 thread several times.

so who does hawaii have coming in for '24? nothing about incoming class mentioned in this "2024" thread so far. Hawaii has a good sized class coming in! Personally, I am most excited about the first three players listed below. Adriana Arquette - Setter Miliana Sylvester - Middle Maddie Way - Middle Malinah Purcell-Telefoni - Opposite Victoria Leyva - Libero

I think we will get either an impact MB to ease the lost of Amber and Kennedi or an Impact pin to help ease the lost of Riley /Kendra. I feel our pins are fine with Tali, Stella, Paula and Caylen. Getting an experienced MB would be 1st on my wish list. Is that MB from Indiana interested in coming here? A lot of UH volleyballers(beach, women and men) seem to be following her. She’s from Texas. I’m assuming Kate is familiar or knows her.

Every time a middle is suggested, I have to point out again that I don’t remember the last time the program had carried more than 3 middle blockers without at least one being a projected pin transitioning player.

Savannah Kjohede coming here to Hawaii makes sense, She will get a chance to start. She will play for a conference contender and she will have the chance to play in post season as Hawaii has been to post season in 30 consecutive year. I would think being able to play post season is something she would want before her career ends. Hawaii will give her that chance.

I do think Kjolhede would be a sensible pick up for the Wahine. Unless one of the freshmen or Bamis is ready to go, they may need an experienced middle blocker to bridge the gap.

Maddie Way can play OPP. I don’t know how she feels about a position change but it’s not like we are stuck with players who can’t play other positions. There was talk that Mili has the footwork to play the pins. So does Maddie. Jacyn is the only player who is truly a MB and does not possess the ability to move.

Second clip on the right hand side.
