Let's go Ducks. Our fast offense should give Wisconsin trouble. It will be interesting to see whether your fast offense can get past the extra foot of length from each of Booth’s and Smrek’s blocks that it hasn’t faced before. Oregon was very fast in the first set and it took some time for Purdue to adjust. 2nd set was tight until the end. 3rd set was really really good. Got the sense that Oregon was running out of gas a bit and if Purdue could have won set 3 that it could easily have gone 5. Pukis especially looked gassed in second half of set 3. We were right behind their bench and during one of the late timeouts 2 asst coaches were checking on her. Looked like she was maybe referencing something with her chest and breathing. Wouldn’t be surprised if she was a bit under the weather. Don’t think it effected her play much but would have been interesting if the match had been extended. We are going to have to be ready to go right out of the gate. If our serving is on and our block is playing at a high level I think we could give Oregon fits. Especially if we can get them out of service. They do a nice job of distributing the ball and moving it all the way across the court quickly. Should be a fun match.

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't nervous about tomorrow; Oregon was clicking on all cylinders and looked amazing last night. If the Badgers have to send over a freeball it needs to go to Pukis so she takes 1st touch; need to get the Ducks OOS as much as possible. That said, I like our chances, especially at home. Go Badgers!

I expect Wisconsin to win in 4, but Oregon's tempo could be problematic for Wisconsin. However, Wisconsin serves reasonably tough, so the pressure is on Oregon's passers to keep them in system. If both teams serve tough, Wisconsin should win because they're easily the best OOS attacking team in the country.

How is Oregon’s serving? Need to know how nervous I should be for a Wisconsin breakdown of course. However, if Wisconsin passes well enough, I see them having a similar side out percentage as they did against PSU. Will have some trouble adjusting to Oregon’s fast offense. I see Badgers in 4.

I wasn’t that overly impressed with their serve. We usually sit in ga and you can really see the serves move and dip from there. We moved down to right behind the Oregon bench so it wasn’t our normal vantage point so maybe my take would be different from the end line. Oregon fans seemed like a fun bunch. Favorite moment of the match for us was when the coaches daughters played one of the on court timeout games and won and then the players called them over after and were absolutely going crazy celebrating with them. For a minute I thought the kids were gonna just stay in the huddle which would have been awesome. Really liked their coaches demeanor and interaction with the players. Excited for them to be in the B1G after tomorrow night. Plus they always have the best Nike gear. Personally not a huge fan of under armour. Their clothes are fine but as a runner I’ll say their shoes suck.

It was verrry eaarly this season, but Oregon's serving did not trouble Minny, and that was a large reason why Oregon lost to them, because as we all know, allow Minny to stay in-system and they have the pins to bang with anyone in the country.

Honestly, not worried at home. Agreed. I feel like I should be more nervous, but I'm not. Should be a fun match to watch! "One and done" against a good team always makes me nervous. Let's say Wisconsin beats Oregon seven times out of ten: will tomorrow be one of the seven, or one of the three?

Yes. This point seems like it could be key to the match. Super-fast offense...means tiring quickly? It was amazing, and then it got less-amazing.
Yes. Yes!

I’ll have to sit down and watch replay to see if it was them slowing down or Purdue adjusting. Probably a bit of both. I thought Pukis was really good last night but like I said I wouldn’t be surprised if she was a bit sick. She could be a big liability for them on the block when she is playing front row as well. One thing I really noticed about Pukis is that on a perfect high pass as the ball is in the air being passed to her she takes her eyes off it and turns her head to look at the defense. One time she even did like a double take and still got focused again for the set. I’ve never seen it so pronounced before. It wasn’t all the time but usually I see like a side eye if anything. She really places the ball well. Keeping them out of service will be huge. If it comes down to who is better out of service I’ll take our chance all day with that. Smrek, Robinson, and Franklin are just so good out of service. Especially with GG and her bump set. Shout out to Anna for her awesome cross court set to Franklin last night for a kill.
