Kami didnt have her best night (imo)... and neither did Kipp. Stanford's block left.... a lot to be desired. I’m curious to see what was the OOS productivity. Seems like Texas might have done better with this passing

Passing stats Stanford Rubin - 2.53 (73.3%) 15 attempts Oglivie - 2.25 (64.3%) 14 attempts Baird - 2.20 (59.6%) 52 attempts Texas Akana - 1.83 (25.0%) 12 attempts Barnes - 1.89 (44.4%) 9 attempts Halter - 2.50 (75%) - 16 attempts Skinner - 2.19 (62.5%) - 16 attempts Wenaas - 1.56 (37.5%) - 16 attempts how did Stanford lose Skinner had the best match passing all tourney. She also scored at will OOS 24 kills. Stanford had a bad night from the service line 6 aces to 14 errors and they were out blocked. Texas only had 1.5 more points. Stanford wasn’t scoring in transition as easy. Miner didn’t have her best night I think it’s in her decision making sometimes. Stanford led in all most other categories. As others said though it looked like Stanford was playing to not lose where Texas was playing to win.

People are acting like it was a beatdown.
Texas scored 1.5 more points on the match. (I'll be real, I don't know how a team can get half a point) [edit: actually adding up the points myself, Texas was actually +8 on the match. I guess the stats are counting earned points and not errors or something?]
In the fourth set it was 22-22 until Texas rattled off 3 straight for the win.
Honestly, Texas was just clutcher at the end of sets. Texas also errored WAY less.

Or two years later still thinking, "No way Texas can replace me" . . . Texas moved on from Fields a long time ago (like winning a Natty).

Watching the Longhorn players after the game celebrating/screaming like they won the title today? Yeah so weird. All that celebrating/screaming over such an insignificant thing as making the Final Four. Don’t really get that but I think Texas may have a culture issue that needs addressing. LOL

Maybe she just was clutch when it mattered. Halter rebounded nicely after what felt like a so/so Sweet 16.

Rubin is better than all but the top 3-5 Liberos in passing and defense. She is an incredible all around player.

I seem to recall the this year’s Stanford coach saying service errors weren’t his worry. It was something he claimed they’d looked at statistically. I actually think a commentator was remarking on that last year. Anyone else remember that?

Also seems like a miss to only serve to her once after 20….
