Nice win for psu over ranked team on road to start season. They could make a huge statement in thois OOC schedule. I see they still have Louisville , Kentucky and Pitt before conference season starts and Pitt and Kentucky are on road also.

This would've been normal in the dynasty era... but not now. |

Congrats on the win! Watching the replay now (just got done with set 1) and CJ is absolutely fun to watch [br First time I’ve watched CJ. My god. Her and Izzy and Ava together 4 years. Steal of the off-season. From what I’ve seen is short window so far is Izzy got game. She is gonna make things a lot easier for her hitters with the skills she has. Impressive how polished she already seems to be 3 games into her college career |

Maybe we should send an ambulance to his house?
He might have had a coronary after seeing the latest PSU results.

Jag aspires to be the ultimate reverse jinx artist but often fails, because he backs up his doom sayings with too many (seemingly) logical points  . Nevertheless, huge success this time -- Louisville bought everything he sold. Let's go Jag, Kentucky and Pittsburgh next. I don't know if Penn State would have the same success if the game was at Louisville. All I know was, at the rowdy Rec Hall the Louisville team was completely broken during the 3rd set. |

I'm not sure that's the case. Louisville is a team used to playing on opponents courts. I think a lot of top players relish playing on the opponents court and beating them. Also, PSU was dominant. Louisville never scored 20 pts in a game in this match. OTOH, maybe Louisville just had an off night, like NEB did. Not sure about Louisville (just don't follow them so much), but NEB has had matches like they just had in the pre-conf games before and ended up just fine. I have a feeling that for whatever reason, Louisville had a down night and very possibly would do better in a rematch. |

Biggest improvement from last year was serve receive and defensive effort and play. Grimes was picking up balls that she was no where near last year. So far this year she is the most improved player I have seen.
Seeing some posters pointing out that all the hitters are transfers. We need to remember that largely these are still RR recruits. Had KC been the coach 6 years ago who she have been able to bring in these transfers out of high school? I can definitely see many players wanting to play for KC that would not want to play for RR.
