I would love to see Krause come in to serve instead of Kennedi… I think she has a better serve and gives her a chance to play in the final 4 after a heartbreaking season. ooh I like this I don’t, Kennedi has earned that serving spot and she deserves that respect.

I don’t, Kennedi has earned that serving spot and she deserves that respect. Well yeah but Lindsay served pretty well when she got the chance. She also worked really hard to be able to even suit up.

Watching that press conference with Cook, Lexi and Merritt, Dam Lexi is confident and I'm wondering if she's too confident. She said we had a great practice, we're ready, and it was the best practice that the coach has ever seen. So, not sure how to take that. Should you not have a smidgen of "Pitts a great team and we're going to have to dig deep? or something along those lines. Am the only Husker that is norvous about this game? No, i'm SO nervous too, you're not alone

I have such a soft spot for Kennedy, she’s had injuries, disappointment, and still wants so badly to contribute to this team. She sort of captured my heart over the last few years. The effort, the patience, and the dignity that she shows is impressive.

Omg he didn’t say anything rude about her lmao yall are being dramatic Probably so. I don’t think he was rude at all. It was an opportunity to be gracious and say something nice about a player he knows well. He just couldn’t do it. I brought it up as a contrast to Sheffield who went out of his way to, not only compliment Texas, but Nebraska and Pitt as well. If my poor memory serves, Fisher behaved the same way before the Nebraska match at the 2021 FF. All this being said, you have to give him props - he has a great team playing great when it matters most.

Of course she’s confident, and have no doubt she knows just how big a battle they’re in for. As always, she handled herself great in that presser.

I think thats a very fair question considering he coached her like 5 months ago, I dont see how it was disrespectful at all They literally asked a similar worded question to Merrit regarding Dan…? Was that not disrespectful to John sitting right there? No, it wasn’t. Just weird for a coach not to give a player (20 year old woman) flowers for an exceptional season.
If you watch the rest of this press conference or any of Fisher's press conferences, this is just his style of answering questions. Measured and pretty laser focused on the upcoming match and the matchup. Not very flowery or praise-heaping, even when talking about his current players.
It's also not like he was sitting among the press when Beason said nice things about him and Fairbanks. Had he then not reciprocated those sentiments it would have been odd, but I don't think it's fair to him to really compare the two statements.
For my own personal taste, some coaches that only ever seem to heap praise on their opponents can come across as insincere, kinda buttering them up.

In his defense he definitely wanted to dismiss any notion they were happy to be there or that they already accomplished something by getting there.

I thought several questions were worded in a manner disrespectful of the Pitt program, such as asking him what makes Beason such a great player. I think thats a very fair question considering he coached her like 5 months ago, I dont see how it was disrespectful at all He is sitting there with 2 of his players, all there to discuss Pitt in the semi final, and he keeps getting questions about NE and Ne Players. You don't see anything disrespectful about that. Well I do, and I'm a NE fan.
