This is a step back from your original comment. You said that Skinner lacked changing games until the Tournament. Can you elaborate on that? She's regularly over 5 kills per set against T25 competition, and in some cases 6-7 kills per set. Interesting take. She didn't change games or flip the texas switch until the tourney. Their losses show it. Yes she's going to have a lot of kills in the big 12 lol. Franklin changed every single game they were in, in the big ten. She is undoubtedly the best player in the country right now. IDK getting 22 kills in 3 sets hitting over .500 against Kansas seems like a game-changer to me. This isn't the only example. I don't think there's that much of a difference in the schedules that Texas played in the B12 and Wisconsin did in the B1G. If you go by Top 50 - Texas played 10, Wisconsin 7, and that doesn't even include Kansas State. Homers gonna homer, for sure.

Trying to put down Skinner in an attempt to raise Franklin's stock is just cringe. Both are deserving. Arguing that there's a replacement for Skinner when Wenaas is the other OH is even more cringe.

Texas has Byrd and Kahahawai, both top hitting recruits, healthy if needed to take over for Skinner. Why aren't they playing over Wenaas? . I mean...Texas's fans have literally pulled their hair out begging for Kahahawai to play for Wenaas? Byrd is red-shirting, they didn't want to burn her RS. By the way , at the end of the regular season, Wenaas was still hitting better than TTA. So that means, for the majority of the season, the drop-off from Skinner to Wenaas, who would become Texas's go-to hitter in this scenario, was less than the drop-off from Franklin to TTA. Not going to address my point that Frank is one of Wisconsin's main passer, passing half the court for 3 rotations, while Skinner has to be pinched in SR huh? Without Skinner, Texas loses nothing in SR, while Wisconsin would basically be OOS all the time with Orzol, TTA, and GG as passers LMAO. Fun fact: TTA was hitting near 0s OOS at the end of the season. Again, how does Wisconsin losing both being terminal on the left + passing leave them in a better state than Texas just losing being terminal on the left, which was the original claim was?

By rpi for Texas: Minnesota, Stanford, WSU, BYUx2, Kansas x2, Houston x2, Baylor x2 for 11 games (9 wins). For Wisconsin: Baylor, TCU, Arkansas x2, Tennessee, Marquette, Florida, Nebraska x2, Minnesota, Purdue x2, Penn State for 13 games (10 wins).

Wisconsin fans trying to diminish skinner would take her in an absolute heartbeat over TTA lmao
Y’all are a joke
Again my vote is for Franklin but skinner is equally deserving and truly I wouldn’t mind either or both winning

Texas without Madi would be in a MUCH worse state than Wisconsin without Sarah, if you wanna go that route. Texas has Byrd and Kahahawai, both top hitting recruits, healthy if needed to take over for Skinner. Wisconsin has...check notes....an injured Ella Wrobel. Without Franklin, Orzol probably slides back to OH, the same Orzol that has hit around .200 for her career at Wisconsin. Not to mention, Wisconsin is only able to use TTA because Franklin can pass adequately in a 2-person SR for 3 rotations. With Orzol at OH, we also gets much worse at passing at the L position. So we lose both passing and the ability to be terminal on OOS balls on the left side (which would be needed with the terrible passing now) without Franklin, while Texas only loses the ability to be terminal since Skinner can't pass anyways. Actually, we've already seen what happened with Orzol at OH and GG back at L twice this season, we lost both times to Purdue and Penn St. on the road lol. And those losses were with a terminal left in Frank. Without her, we probably get swept. How exactly is that version Wisconsin in a better state than Texas without Skinner? Devin is hitting under .150 and Byrd is in a boot I’m pretty sure lol Madi is more impactful than Asjia this season and we lost to *checks note* LONG BEACH STATE without Asjia lmao

I didn't make that claim (or addressing your point about Frank is one of Wisconsin's main passers). I think both teams look vastly different if the personnel even changes slightly and it's a game of what-if's that can't easily be compared. I DO think (whether fair or not) passing is always undervalued by awards in general, but, I also think it's easier to find someone to pass than to find someone to regularly terminate. Even if those passes aren't great quality, throwing up balls to Skinner/Franklin level players will result in good most of the time.

I also see I missed Iowa st. so 12 overall for Texas.

offense - adv. Skinner passing - adv. Franklin serving - adv. Skinner blocking- slight adv. Skinner hit % - very close, with a slight edge to Franklin, but Skinner takes slightly more swings, but actually, Skinner has the advantage in kill percentage that isn't very close. digging - tie
I think it could be viewed a few different ways. Wisconsin has had more team success, while Skinner won a regional at Stanford. I won't be surprised either result. I vote for Skinner. But, if the passing isn't accounted for, I'd definitely "predict" Skinner.

If passing isn't a main consideration, then it seems like Skinner has the clear edge based on her higher points per set. But passing matters a lot, and it's not just that Franklin is a better passer. She has a lot more attempts too. To me, it's kind of like a pitcher having a better ERA and a lot more innings pitched. That is very valuable. Honestly, I don't have strong feelings either way and would be happy with either winning.

And Sarah's numbers (in the best conference in the nation) are insane. Skinner is a no-go for me. Even Beason has a bigger chance as arguably the best portal pickup this season.

Devin is hitting under .150 and Byrd is in a boot I’m pretty sure lol Madi is more impactful than Asjia this season and we lost to *checks note* LONG BEACH STATE without Asjia lmao Molly Phillips didn't get to play a full game v Stanford earlier this season, and now that she did, Texas went from being swept at home to winning in 4 AT Stanford. So clearly, Molly Phillips is Texas's most impactful player. Oh wait, you can't bring back results from literally the first few weeks of the season like that? Huh, who would have thought? Yeah, the LBSU loss was without O'Neal, but Swindle also looked like a reincarnation of Shook, Texas's floor defense was terrible, and it looks like Texas expected to walk into there and win without much effort. That Texas team had a lot more problems than just misssing O'Neal. Just to be clear, I've posted earlier in this post and in Wisconsin's own thread that I think Skinner will win (deservingly) NPOY. However, that doesn't mean she is more important to Texas than Franklin is to Wisconsin. Again, my question is, you claim that Texas without Skinner is somehow in a worse state than Wisconsin without Franklin. Let me remind you, Franklin passed more balls this year than your LIBERO Emma Halter did, and half of it was in a 2-person SR. Without Skinner, Texas can plug and play and will lose (a lot) of being terminal on the left. Wisconsin changes TWO different positions, AND loses terminal on the left AND loses our main passer (Frank passed the most balls this year for Wisco). Without Franklin, Wisconsin's SR would be a sicko formation of GG-TTA-Orzol LOL. So how does losing being terminal leaves Texas in a worse state than Wisconsin losing both being terminal on the left AND their main passer lol? Especially when Texas is deeper than Wisconsin?
