They started out in 2 in the regional matches Which means Franklin is in left front (I assume she’s L2)? Which setter/opp duo starts out? I have zero faith in Wenaas to get any block touches on Smrek, but I think Skinner could.
They start with Smrek for the most recent matches. I guess Sheff wants to maximize Smrek's play time now.

I root against Nebraska because of the rivalry Texas has with them, and because they are kind of monolithic now in volleyball the way that Duke is in basketball, and Alabama in football. To be honest, I actually really like this Nebraska team. As the previous poster pointed out, all these teams are full of admirably hard working, and competitive young women; student athletes deserving support and recognition. So even though I root aganst Nebraska, I’m certainly not rooting for their players to fail. One of the most enjoyable moments for me this season was watching Nebraska’s incredible match in front of 93,000 fans. That was amazing, and I admire Nebraska for pulling that off. I became a Lexi Rodriguez fan seeing the uncontainable joy she felt being a part of that. I can’t say I’ve always felt a healthy sense of rivalry with Nebraska, but that’s changed over time. I still hope Pittsburgh wins though. 😃

I will say I always like playing Nebraska in the postseason as a Texas fan, so I’ll take whatever result happens. I’m just thankful Texas made it to the Final Four. Unbridled joy.

Considering the Badgers' luck vs. Stanford this time of year, I am happy to see Texas for our 10th Anniversary Final Four meeting! (And already making plans for 2033...woo!) 🤠

Gotta hand it to Texas for making it this far- past the phenomenally aggressive Tennessee team, and over the apex predator, #2 Stanford. And both accomplished as a visitor. Good work on your 'rebuilding'!
Four powerhouses left, now; two illustrious legacy names,... another in the midst of continuing and defining their Current Era,... and The New Kids on the Block smashing at the gates. #s 1, 3, 4, and 7. Loaded with All-Americans, NPOY/NFOY candidates, and insanely-talented athletes.
What another great experience we all have in store!
On! Wisconsin

Nebraska’s growing on me in a way A&M, in any sport, and Kansas in basketball never will. A lot of that is the amazing media coverage of the team. Still the team I consider the biggest rival, even if they rarely play (which is a shame). Beating Stanford is awesome, but beating (or losing to) Nebraska would feel very different. I really do like the Pittsburgh program as well. If I was a young volleyball player, I would love to play for Coach Fisher. As a fan, I would find it easy to support his program. It’s a fun style of volleyball. Love that they have 3 six-rotations hitters. That’s not a luxury most teams have talent-wise, but I like the willingness to run that kind of offense, and make it work defensively.

if Nebraska gets by Pitt, Nebraska fans have a dilemma: do they root for the conference colleagues (default choice), or being more calculating, root for the team they think Nebraska could more likely beat (which is not the Badgers)? Rhetorical question: Why the hate? Is it the school colors? Is it the transfers? Is it that the teams may be better than your own? A little bit of envy for winning so much? Or is it the fan base? These are all young ladies that have worked incredibly hard to get to this point. While it’s fun to have a favorite. All of these women have worked hard to be here and have earned it. The team who wins it all will be the team who plays best that day. All of these ladies are incredible. I’m looking forward to any and all of these match ups. Wish I could be in Tampa. What an excellent post! Completely agree about how admirable *all* the players are. The effort they have put in is beyond belief.
To your question, I have to say "hate" is too strong a word--at least for me. All the factors you list are in play for me (though not so much the colors . But by far the strongest reason I would love to see the Badgers lose is their fans. All teams have obnoxious fans (a couple for Nebraska spring readily to mind), but the Wisconsin crew has several that just seem to go a step or two beyond sporting--some even venturing into being just plain mean.

I became a Lexi Rodriguez fan seeing the uncontainable joy she felt being a part of that. 😃 "WE ALL JUST WANT LEXI TO BE HAPPY" At the risk of being plain mean, no. No, we don't.
Not until she's back in Lincoln on the 18th with the 2nd place trophy, or the 3rd/4th place certificate. Then?...yes, all happiness to Lexi.

Wisconsin winning the poll, 2-1. Makes me already nervous for the 4th set.

Exactly, Skinner will take advantage of Whisky's weak middle blockers and just shred their defense. It will be a quick 3-0 sweep by the Horns on their way to back-to-back National Championships.
