some of yall are gonna hate this, but if your not sensitive this podcast episode about the natty is so brutally honest and hilarious. similar to football / basketball reporting where they just dont care a couple bad takes, like saying texas serving was normal ncaa women's serving, but overall I found it so funny I didn't like what they said about Swindle. you may not like it, but none of it was wrong lol. I fully believe swindle will become an elite setter in her time at texas, but they are right in saying texas was doing all of this without an elite setter. and that her location to the middle was really poor. oneal and skinner bailed her out on multiple bad sets, the runs to oneal particularly were just not good location wise at all great server, blocker, and defender no doubt. but that was probably the lowest level setting performance from the natty winner in the last decade lol

There is nothing wrong about what they said. It’s just odd that after the most dominant performance in a NC game (at least that I have ever seen) vs the #1 overall seed when she didn’t need to be perfect just good enough (and she was) you think adding commentary that she can’t set is something you need to address? And like I said she completely outplayed Bergen in serving, blocking and floor defense (was not remotely close between the 2) and that had way more to do with the win than her setting placement. If Texas had a setter they would have won sets 25-5 just seems like a weird thing to waste time on. Especially when you spent half your time complaining it was a blow out.

I was hearing that swindle was playing her best ball in the tourney...

I just called one of your player the best player in the country like two posts ago lol. its no secret I dont root for texas, but I also dont discredit the amazing players they have, nor do I pretend every player they have is amazing. if it makes you feel better id take swindle over Glock any day, still doesnt mean im gonna blindly say swindle is an elite setter. the same I won't I dont pretend like Glock is really good regardless, you must think swindle was an elite setter in that match then?

And she had 5 kills hitting .333 which would have made her the second leading scorer for Nebraska. But yeah let’s focus on less than perfect setting placement.

Or it could be another extra 6 weeks of reps, and we would have gotten that same level of improvement jump-setting. Who can say
