Is anyone going to the Fiserv for the showcase? I am. And I'll paste what I put in the MN thread (I'm coming down from MN): I'll be at Fiserv. Splurged for courtside tix because my friend wanted to celebrate end of grad school, but he forgot he teaches bright and early Tue morning so now he likely won't go Monday (and maybe not at all). ... So if anyone wants to buy a ticket (or both) let me know and I can reach out to him. |

If any out of towners can stick around a couple more days you can also catch Stanford vs. Marquette on that Wednesday. (and Kansas at Marquette that Friday and..... well, have to stop at some point). |

While I'm at it, I sure would like to see the team picture one of these days. The Gophers put their photo out. That makes them 1-0 against the Badgers for now. Fortunately, my 24-5 prediction for The Badgers includes a sweep of The Gophers. All's well that ends well.

The picture roll out is a bit slow this year, and mostly isolated to the players' instagram feeds. I imagine they are waiting for Una to show up to do team photos.

Speaking of player pictures, Tosia looks like she has been hitting the weights. Now, pure fantasy, I'm waiting for Sheff to say "Tosia started working at OH while she was in Poland and that continued when she got to Madison; she's ready to go if we need her".

Rettke hasn't seem any action yet, has she? I thought she had to have played at some point to get a gold medal. She came in vs France, late in the third set; rotated back to serve, and had a foot fault. (I don't know if she got in either of the first two matches.) Nope, those 1.5 points were it :/ |

I wonder how many people are aware that's the etymology. When I was younger I always thought it was just one of those weird swedish words that was just mispronounced, and mispelled as jipped. I was aware  I forget where I learned it, though. |
