Assuming Orzal at OH, any predictions on a DS for Franklin, or no DS? You do not DS Franklin. You want your best BIC player in the game at all times. Agreed. This is not the Sarah Franklin of 2022. Franklin and Orzol should both be 6-rotation players. The question then is who wins the Libero/DS battle. GG has the experience at Libero and would be able to set Smrek/Robinson on the right if needed, but her passing is still suspect. I think we’ll see one of Damrow/Schumacher at Libero with GG as a (sparse-passing) DS.

"Silent Set" was/is a thing that started at Penn State when PSU player Jonni Parker, who is hearing impaired, was playing there; It's a way of raising awareness, etc. I don't think UW has done this before, but I'm all for it.

Yeah, I can understand why PSU did it with Parker on the squad, but why are the badgers doing it as opposed to other things they could do, and why is the silent set during the match against Minnesota instead of PSU? Will Minnie also have a silent set against UW at their place? Is there someone on one or the other squads with a hearing disability?

Preseason team rankings come out tomorrow at 11am (for the live on youtube). Where do we as badger fans assume we land? I’m taking number 3, behind 1 Texas & 2 Nebraska, I could see us as far down as 5

I really don't care about preseason rankings, but I'm not seeing why anyone would rank them as low as number 5. If anything they will be better than last year when they were in the final 4 and only lost to the eventual champions.
I mean, if people decide to do that, so be it. Won't matter a bit in the end. But there is no reason to be bearish on the badgers.

It appears we may have lost Hickman to Stanford, maybe not but she only follows Stanford volleyball. She does follow Gary tho if there’s any hope to hold onto

http://instagram.com/p/C9_DqISssIP for the same reason, could almost see Louisville at 4, considering they return all starters but right side

for the same reason, could almost see Louisville at 4, considering they return all starters but right side Lots of agendas on WCVN in my opinion, including among the admins - I don't really trust anything they put out. That being said, considering Louisville, unless Robbins left I think Louisville has a good returner at the right pin, but I wonder if Luper will get beat out by Peterson (if Peterson can pass that will be an improvement). Either way, Louisville is definitely a threat - consensus top 6 from what I've seen - but the way AVCA votes I have a hard time seeing them move ahead of Wisconsin in the preseason rankings.

Especially with last year being the year of the freshman setter, and returning so many all Americans. Top 6/8 is really a wash for the first two weeks

(A pet peeve of mine, but there are no "degrees" of uniqueness. One thing is not "more unique" or "less unique" than another thing. "Unique" means "one of a kind". Can something be MORE "one of a kind" than something else that is also "one of a kind"? No. One of a kind is one of a kind.)

Per the Stanford forum, there are 4 players joining the application process. They figure Sarah Hickman is one of the 4.
