LOVB tickets. No thank you! Yes it’s a double header but I am not paying $83 plus $9 per ticket fee. This is in section T on the corner. So they ARE going to be playing at the Field House - didn't know that was finalized. Part of the schedule - half? - played in the Field House, and part at the Alliant Energy Dane County Coliseum.

Yes and Yes. What I want to know is whether it will be televised. TV has been added to the schedule. The Bradley game will be televised by Big Ten + I just checked the schedule again. No TV showing for Bradley:

With the logjam and depth at MB and RS I think Tosia may have to redshirt. I have a feeling she may not get playing time and she may likely end up like Wrobel and Jardine who was stuck behind depth (although Wrobel had injury issues and in hindsight, Jardine should've never been recruited in the first place, it should've been a good DS especially with Sage's injury history even then) and ultimately left. Smrek and Booth have shown to be durable and CC and maybe even Devyn have injury history so the team may bear that in mind to against redshirting Tosia. However I can see both Anna and Devyn playing OPP so Tosia would be decept depth for Carter and CC. So far at MB/RS is. - Smrek (MB/OPP) - Robinson (MB/OPP) - Booth (MB) - CC (MB) - Tosia (MB) Interesting take re Jardine. I'm not sure. I was just looking at stats for Jardine, Demps, and Gregorski after they transferred out of UW. Going only by stats, Jardine seems to have been the most successful of the three, post-transfer, leading Utah in kills and points per set. Demps's best stats are from her championship year at Wisconsin, exceeding her stats at LSU, which I found kind of surprising. It seems like she was overshadowed by at least one other star player at LSU. Gregorski definitely saw more action after her transfer, but didn't emerge to be the star at K-State that I think it's fair to say Jardine is at Utah. Of the three, and again going only by stats, Demps seems to be least successful in her post-transfer years, and yet she was the only one of the three who ever started with the Badgers and was instrumental in the Natty team. To be clear, I admire all of these players. I guess I am just trying to say that there are always intangibles, and also that I am not sure about the take that Jardine never should have been recruited. Also, I am dying to see what happens with Wrobel. LSU relied on a mega star freshman a lot last year. Jades role declined as the year progressed. Hard to compare Gregorski to the other two, she wasn't as highly recruited (I think).

Assuming Orzal at OH, any predictions on a DS for Franklin, or no DS? You do not DS Franklin. You want your best BIC player in the game at all times.

I just found out from a Tik Tok that John Cook was Wisconsin’s head coach from 1992 to 1998 🤯 I wasn’t born yet to witness it, and I don’t recall ever hearing announcers mention it. Mind blown I feel old! I feel old, too. I started grad school in Madison in 1992. We had to pay 20 dollars a month to help athletics because the football team sucked so bad in the late 80s that revenue was short. In exchange, we got to go to non revenue sports for free. That is when I started watching Wisconsin volleyball. The team had a brand new head coach, a young guy named John Cook. Oh, and the football team became good again, too, with a guy named Barry Alvarez as the head coach, also hired the same year.

There's an article out there about when she was put on scholarship; in the article she talks about when she was called to Sheffield's office, and her "imposter syndrome" was running in full gear on her way to the meeting. Instead of 'bad news', he told her she was being put on scholarship.

Mind blown I feel old! When Cook won his first national championship at Nebraska in 2000, his opponent was Wisconsin. He was playing for the national championship against players that he had recruited while head coach at Wisconsin. That must have felt awkward for him.

LOVB tickets. No thank you! Yes it’s a double header but I am not paying $83 plus $9 per ticket fee. This is in section T on the corner. Please don’t rain on the LOVB parade. Pretty please? For those lifelong VB fans (us) that moved here just a few years ago most of us can’t afford to donate enough for GA season tickets (5k donation this year) let alone an opportunity to try to get reserve season tix. We are forced into the secondary market (which is still more economical than the required donation for years and years to come). In general, even the single game lovb tickets are more reasonable than after market badger tickets. I’m excited for our great lovb season tickets and I’m impressed at how many seats have already sold out for the inaugural games in the field house. The games are 5 months out! We traveled for PVF last year. I only hope lovb can bring the out our community spirit like the badgers and have fun promos like PVF does for gr rise and supernovas. Remains to be seen but excited to be a part of it (and not have to drive over 5 hours for professional VB). Plus what are you going to do to fill the volleyball void in January? We signed up for badger women’s hockey to fill the void the last two seasons, lol. At the same time if any one ever wants to ditch two reserved badger season tickets in the next seasons let us know. We’d take them off your hands.

And I remember him saying then that he was proud of both his old team and his new team.

Also I know this is overthinking but Devyn posted a TikTok and it’s a video of her running a slide, so early indication is she is going back to the middle but I’m sure she’s also taking reps on the right In that clip Devyn is running a slide in Rotation 1. They stack everyone over on the left. She runs a slide so she doesn’t not have to attack from the outside position. If you look Franklin is pushing both Devyn and Crawford over. So Crawford is in as a middle in this clip and Devyn as an opposite running a slide. Charlie was setting a 5-1 with this group. Serving was the transfer setter. Booth was blocking. Smrek was no where to be seen. Which could be concerning. I know she has had a few injuries that have pulled her for a couple weeks in prior seasons. Anna rolled an ankle. VERY minor. She'll be good to go.

FYI. Again, Twitter. I apologize in advance, but that's where the sports still is. Arias says there will be radio coverage of the Bradley match, at the very least. (Thanks nuclearbdgr)

Assuming Orzal at OH, any predictions on a DS for Franklin, or no DS? I don't see a dedicated DS but I think you may see Schumacher/Damrow/Gutekin -whomever fills the role spell Sarah on occasion in the backrow. Especially early season matches against some of the weaker opponants like Bradley or Troy
