Maybe Charlie was so sore from serving and that's why her setting regressed a bit today. They did this away from home, against a very good blocking team. But they've got better in them, and I think it needs to be better to have a decent chance against Nebraska Friday. She balled out today!!! I was so proud of her. This schedule was perfectly built. Toughest teams in the beginning. She held her own. Now they are rising at the right time. |

Having watched the whole match now, I don't think that was a great performance in any respect but defense. The badgers can play better offensively, but that defensive performance was really good. Despite the win, there is still a lot of upside in this team. But also some inconsistency. We won with serve and pass and defense. We basically played like Nebraska lol. But we can't just have one singular hitter being on and no one else helping her against Nebraska or Penn St. If the hitting improves from all round the team from Anna, Sarah, Carter and even Julia then the team has a good chance of beating Nebraska if the serve, pass and defence continues from the Purdue game. |

Chuck's serving side out percentage is now <500 on the season, the best on the team. It helps that we have Frank and Anna front row when she serves, but even just on the eyeball test her serves get the setter on the run more times than not. I Stan.

I think the most decisive factor was blocking. I agree the set-attack connection seemed off yesterday, after so much progress in prior matches. It’s still a mystery to me why Booth’s attack percentage has had such a huge decline compared to last year, this late into the season. Anyway I think we’ll beat Nebraska. Cook has never figured out how to overcome his team’s height disadvantage. |

Um, I realize they won, Yay. Just trying to understand if someone saw the logic behind the change-up. Looking for logic in Sheff's moves this year is like trying to guess the number of jellybeans in a grain silo. I'm sure there's a correct answer, but we'll grow old trying to figure it. Badgers playing with swag again. They've got that look in their eyes. Smrek is in the zone. Look out Big 10💣🤷♂️😄. |

Just watched the Purdue match and I would say based off of that match it was a smart move. 15 matches ago, pretty much once Kelly decided Saige wasn't it, GG was struggling, and then Lola hit the court for the last 2 sets of the comeback 5-set win against TCU. GG inexplicably came in to start and play the whole match against Minnesota, a loss, but other than that, it's been Lola-palooza. |

They also were playing a freshman setter but their growth from week one to now is probably the best I have seen this year. Friday should be a good match. My bet is Wisconsin in 4 maybe 5. |

Yeh I hope when later in the season it is decided who hosts regionals and its super close we could miss out because of decisions like that. Things are definitely looking up now though. LOL as you just got done making some claim about how Nebraska fans don't give opponents credit when they beat them. That is some hilarious irony. Wisconsin has won tons of matches against Nebraska in Sheffield's time there. You don't have to magically erase the occasional L, attributing it to "circumstances". |
