Hey Wisconsin fans! I'm planning to put together a match thread for this week's Illinois/Wisconsin match and would like to add Wisconsin's likely lineup on the first post of the thread. I'd very much appreciate your help in telling me which Badgers you're expecting will play regular rotations, all the way down to serving specialist. Here's an old example of the lineups that I add to the post, just to show you all the positions I like to add to the lineup. Thanks! Thanks exit237a ! The lineup is mostly the same, but I’d go with the following: S Charlie Fuerbringer L Lola Schumacher RS Anna Smrek OH Sarah Franklin OH Julia Orzol MB Carter Booth MB Devyn Robinson DS Gülce Güçtekin SS Caroline Crawford
This is perfect! Thanks, badgerbyproxy!

Halle Thompson has been invited to the USA Volleyball National Team Development Program 2024 Winter Training Series. I couldn’t find an attendee list, Halle shared the news on her Instagram story.
I’m curious about which other future Badgers will be there. Of the eight recruits for 2025 and 2026, seven have USAV NTPD experience!!!! The future is so bright. 😎

I think it says enough if she wins setter of the week. Why didn’t Charlie win freshman of the week? Wisconsin: 2-0 (3-0 Indiana; 3-0 Purdue) Charlie Fuerbringer (FRESHMAN) - 11.7 aps (TEAM: .271), 0.8 aces per set, 1.0 bps Penn State: 2-0 (3-2 UCLA; 3-1 USC) Izzy Starck (FRESHMAN) - 9.8 aps (TEAM: .240), 1.4 kps (.423), 3.3 dps Someone pls explain why they would pick Izzy before I riot

Not sure if someone had pointed this out yet but regarding the team photo in rainbows OP in this thread I noticed that Tosia looks to have sprouted up to what appears to be 6'6" now. The roster lists her still at 6'4" but standing next to Franklin she looks to be a couple inches taller. So even though Anna leaves after this season we still gonna have a couple GIANTS in the middle. 🙂 Natalie Wardlow, class of 2025, is 6'5"

Should have split the awards with Charlie winning freshmen.

Nothing else matters.

Charlie clearly had had better numbers and bigger wins (Purdue) than Starck. Also how did Andi Jackson win the defensive award with 1.6 bps on the weekend but Smrek had 2.0bps on the weekend (bigger win vs Purdue than Nebraska had), and Booth also having more bps if I recall. Seems a bit odd to me if it’s being based on stats.

They are so focused in on Izzy they are not doing fair evaluations any more. It looks like Izzy is getting rewarded for her team taking more sets to win. You would think that the shelacking of top Ten Purdue due largely to Charlies play setting, defensively, and her serving that was described by Eva Hudson as perhaps the best she ever faced would have counted for more.

7th makes sense to me based off resume, but I really think they are a top 4 team in this moment. If they were to play everyone above us in a neutral site this week I'd feel confident betting on them to beat Stanford and Creighton, fairly confident about Penn State, Nebraska and Louisville, and I think they'd have a shot at Pitt. 7th is fine for now, i think top 4 only happens if they win the B1G, so can kill two birds with one stone. If they don't win the B1G, I just hope they aren't 8th or 9th and in Pitts region. Definitely want Pitt at neutral site if they play them in the tourney.
