Not sure if someone had pointed this out yet but regarding the team photo in rainbows OP in this thread I noticed that Tosia looks to have sprouted up to what appears to be 6'6" now. The roster lists her still at 6'4" but standing next to Franklin she looks to be a couple inches taller. So even though Anna leaves after this season we still gonna have a couple GIANTS in the middle. 🙂 I think Sarah is truly at 194cms which is 6'4" and Tosia is about anywhere from 196 - 197cms which is 6'5" - 6'6" and she could even be 198cms but that's pushing it although she may grow there next season.

It would be a shocker for Nebraska to not get a regional host - I think they'd have to lose three matches at least, and unless they screw up out west (they do play at Oregon) it would have to be PSU and Wisconsin away and either Wisconsin or Minnesota at Devaney. And Penn State really only has to go 1-1 vs us and Nebraska to ensure hosting. We have to win out to host. I think this team is where I wanted to see it now, but I don't think it's good enough to win out. Please, team, prove me wrong.
The Wisconsin-Nebraska-PSU roundups are very unpredictable imo, given that Nebraska and PSU aren't impressive on their home court, anyone can lose all of them. Obviously the margin of errors for the Badgers is very low.
Nebraska has won 38 consecutive home matches, how would you consider this not impressive at home?

I hear you... but during non-con, I felt like Lola was getting aced by tough services and GG was just getting aced. I have no data to back that up. Just an eye test and some lingering frustration regarding a libero who can't pass. The biggest thing I noticed from eye test (and I did chart some of the matches too), is that when Lola got aced, it didn't affect her next pass. GG would clearly get rattled by aces causing her subsequent passes to also be worse. I honestly, I think that is GG's flaw at libero. She isn't able to act like a goldfish in serve receive. Defensively, she is going more off reaction, doesn't have time to think. But in serve receive, one bad shank and it throws her off her game. Agree 100%. During the Minnesota match, it even bled over into her OOS setting, which is usually good.

I think we just passed Texas since they lost to TAMU Weds, a team we've beaten already. They've also lost to Miami. That's two losses to unranked teams. The lowest ranked team the badgers have lost to is 15 Minnesota. The top B1G team is a top 4 seed. If the badgers win out, they get a seed. But that's a tough ask. If they get another loss, I think it would have to be one of the matches to Nebraska because i think only one team from the B1G will in the top 4 this year, and if PSU wins they get inside track on the badgers - presuming the Lions don't lose other matches. The badgers have to then hope PSU beats the huskers. Badgers can't afford two more losses unless somebody up top stumbles unexpectedly. I don't see who Creighton looses to in the big east. I think they get in unless the committee punishes them for basically being in the Big East. If Creighton gets in I only think 2 ACC teams will get into the top four and it's looking to me like Stanford will miss out. Somebody would have to lose to a team outside that group to open a window. SMU could be a spoiler (scratch that, those matches are done). Maybe UNC? Don't think it will be GT. I think it's pretty likely that Creighton doesn't get the top 4 seed because they're in the BE, tbh. I agree. We learned some things from the Committee's October rating: the committee values: Ranked wins (especially Top 10 wins) and strength of schedule. With Creighton being in the BE, they won't have any more ranked wins this year while other teams in the SEC, ACC, and Big10 will. Creighton ranked wins (team's rank at time of win) USC (20) Purdue (6) Kansas (10) Ranked Losses Nebraska (5) Louisville (4)

whiteout against Nebraska Is that so the Nebraska fans are easier to identify? Who knows lol. It was posted by the Badger official Facebook and Instagram pages. I personally don’t own any white Badger merch, good thing I’ll be happily watching from my couch! Thank you NBC for streaming this match!!!

I never get these white outs. Also, they always make me think of correcting typing mistakes as an undergrad. It's not a good association!

No.....Devaney has higher standard than that. Take it as a compliment.
Match point? Don't lie to yourself.

it’s not a dig at Wisconsin, or downplaying that Nebraska probably should have lost… but at the end of the day, both are 1-0 against Purdue. A win is a win, even if it’s messy

oh we have different values about home court advantage then. That's totally fine.

you’re definitely not wrong that they should have played better at home, and Wisconsin certainly uses its advantage fully always. More so, if they ended up winning it’s not a complete disaster lol
