Sheffield said it post-game and I think it was pretty clear, that match is the best Fuerbringer has looked this season - and I think by a good margin too. A few middle connections were still hit-and-miss but she's missing high (so no trap sets) and she got a number right in the wheelhouse, which for Carter and Anna should be almost automatic.
In my book, Anna, CC and Julia were also excellent - Frank too of course but she gets graded on an unforgiving curve.
Oh, and man do we protect the floor well. Even when they managed to get some of those tips down, we would get multiple hands on it before getting it over (and Sarah's save was oh-so-good)

A Badger loss tells you a lot about this team, I'm not sure if a win necessarily indicates substantial improvement. Even though the Huskers swept in the Fieldhouse, I do not think the team is _a lot_ worse than Nebraska. A little, yes, and if you don't play your best against a team like Nebraska they have the talent and the execution to slaughter you, which they did. A Badger win this afternoon just tells you the margin for error is a little larger with Penn State than with Nebraska. Well, if you're going by the idea that getting swept by Nebraska tells us that we're pretty good, then you're not really using the win or loss at all, but rather in-depth analysis. Which is okay, but then I think don't make declarations about what a win or loss will tell us. I take it back! TEAM OF DESTINY LETSGOOOO.

Night and day what the attack looks like when she is this on point. I don't mind the misses now and again if she gets enough of the offense right that the hitters don't have to struggle to score. I caught her peeking at the block a number of times today before setting really devastating attacks. I think Carlini is starting to rub off on her. They may be different in personality, but Charlie is a gunslinger like Carlini was in her early years.

Charlie aside, I like that the entire team was contributing. Heck, Booth got an assist! Smrek had 9 digs!
This is the first time this year I watched this team and thought, OK, this could win a NC.

Sarah 31 swings, Smrek 26, Oz 19. Balance like that is lethal.

Also. I have never loved a player more than Orzol. Maybe Deme, but they share the same "I will prove you wrong" aura.
I don't know what color that aura is.
