Are Julia and Anna still able to return next year? Or did the extra covid year end? I am new here. No, the COVID year was only for athletes in the Fall 2020 / Spring 2021 school year. They started in Fall 2021, so they’re regular seniors.

If I understand correctly, this new policy should prevent that. I don't see how you can get bumped out of your tier if you can't request more postseason tickets than regular season. They have to allot seats for all the other teams' friends and family tickets, and those come out of regular season ticket holder seats. This^^^ So fewer tickets total. You also have to keep in mind RMPSC donations are not just for volleyball. And I believe this year people donated 5k to just to get priority in order to get a chance for reserved seats. They only got GA. I think limiting it to the number of season ticket you hold is helpful. But there are GA ticket holders who can’t get better seats and have donated more for various reasons so I would not be surprised if there are season ticket holders that are bumped down a level or two. Not trying to be negative Nancy, just expectation setting.

I saw talk here a while back that Booth may transfer out especially her best friends Sarah, CC and Devyn will be gone. However I think she'll stay and I think Tosia will either be at MB2 (rotating with Wardlow) or convert to OPP like with Anna and possibly play 6ro with Wardlow being at MB2 like with Devyn and CC. And yes I think Tosia will Redshirt especially if the middles stay healthy and she'll only play if there's a middle injury crisis which I hope doesn't happen.

No unfortunately, if the Badgers played less than 50% of their scheduled matches in the fall of 2021 which is their freshman year then yes they would've been eligible to return but the Badgers played ALL of their scheduled matches which meant that they're no longer eligible to return.

D1 athletes play all sorts of positions in HS across all sports all the time, that doesn't make them a "candidate" for that position in D1. Plummer was a setter for her high school for example. As far as I know, she played middle for club and NDTP and for national team tryouts, that's the position she'll playing in college. Maybe she can become a converted RS, but a LS would be shocking. People said the same thing about CC and Devyn earlier this season, and that idea has never been once approached this season even earlier when we had no pins. That’s why I predict she could fill an opposite role as I know playing outside in D1 is a lot different than high school. I would also say the Devyn played middle her whole prep career before coming to Wisconsin She has now been an All American twice as an opposite . This is what I see Wardlow doing for Wisconsin except having more back row experience than Devyn making it a lot more realistic for the badgers to have a 6 rotation opposite. That obviously may never happen? But again that is just my hot take. This is just speculation as I have been watching a lot of the badger commits and don’t see Horner panning out as a pin. The great thing is that we will have a lot of versatile athletes between the 2025 class and 2026 class. Sheffield was quoted as saying Wardlow has potential to be one of the best middles. I'd bet that she mostly works there for the Badgers. From what I've watched her game really fits the position.

Just got a survey from the athletic department, essentially trying to determine how much i would pay for various seat options for various sports at the Kohl Center. In it they mentioned they are considering moving more volleyball matches to the Kohl Center, of which I said I was not in favor of. I had deleted the email without opening the survey, but I will bring it back, just to tell them "no" on VB at the KC. Now I will too!

If charlie continues to play better and better, and Wisconsin makes the final 4, does she have a case for NFOY?

If charlie continues to play better and better, and Wisconsin makes the final 4, does she have a case for NFOY? I think at this point, Starck getting it is a foregone conclusion. Starck has had a better overall season than Charlie and so far, more team success. Charlie has been so improved in the latter half but she still has inconsistent moments

Charlie has been so improved in the latter half but she still has inconsistent moments As much as I love Charlie getting it, it will be Starck that will get it. Charlie didn't click early because of lack of practice time with the hitters and Sarah not being at 100% early in the season despite taking 60 swings at the time and Anna having injury issues and with that lack of practice time, Booth and Smrek weren't utilised at their best due to poor sets. Maybe my Badger fan bias is huge but I think Charlie may have a higher ceiling and have the potential to win NPOY as a setter.

Horner's team is still 'in' it for Illinois Volleyball Playoffs. Her team Benet Academy plays Friday night in a semifinal match. Horner goes to St. Francis, not Benet. Francis is out.

I do think Charlie makes the all freshman AA team (don't they have one?)
