Where does everyone rank? Curious who the “best” player is *Top 18, got that wrong
Quest - #13 PD, #24 PVB
Wardlow - #17 PD, #18 PVB
Horner - #18 PD, #29 PVB
Simon - #70 PD, #19 PVB
Burly, posted that Simon had a FULL ride to Stanford. I had no idea she was on that level of talent. Thanks for sharing that Burly!!

BadgerVB IG account has posts up for our 4 2025 recruits. Super talented group coming in with 3 in PrepDig's top 17 with Simon being a true diamond-in-the-rough. Where does everyone rank? Curious who the “best” player is I've watched some of their high school games and club volleyball. From the little that I've seen I'd say Madison looks the most ready to impact which is convenient because we have a big HOLE in that position after this season. Tentatively I'd say Una slides into Julia's spot and Madison takes the tall task for the 'Tank'. I'm not so sure we won't shoot for a portal transfer at that position however. Horner's team is still 'in' it for Illinois Volleyball Playoffs. Her team Benet Academy plays Friday night in a semifinal match. She's versitile and should be in the mix for the OPP but I'd be inclined to think we'd bring a portal addition at opposite.

Re: post season tickets
If this was a stipulation last year, I missed it. I think last year you could just request up to 6.

Punzel this AM: Quest and Horner will get a head start in their transition to the college game by enrolling in January and competing in the spring practices and matches.
Edit: Addition from Punzel's piece:
Those four are not likely to be the only players joining the Badgers next year, as Sheffield plans to scour the transfer portal after the season to try and bring in some more experience, particularly in the front row.
New NCAA guidelines will set the volleyball roster limit at 18, two more than the Badgers currently have. Sheffield would like to have 18 next season. The Badgers have 10 players eligible to return and with the four incoming freshmen they would still have four spots available.
“We’re trying to shoot for 18 players, whether scholarship or walk-on,” Sheffield said. “Everybody can do that math, we’ve got a few more players to get. We’ll have scholarships available.

Re: post season tickets All REQUESTS will be reviewed & tickets allocated as follows: - By Rank as of October 31, 2024. - Due to NCAA ticket requirements, season ticket-holders will NOT retain their regular season seating assignments. - Should requests for reserved seats exceed supply, reserved requests would be reviewed based on the criteria above. - You may request up to your season ticket total, or up to six (6) tickets, whichever comes first. - If requests at a given price level exceed supply, requests will automatically be reviewed at the next best price level based on the criteria above. Therefore, it is not necessary to request multiple price levels. - For ADA seating requests, please submit this application and then email your seating request to tickets@uwbadgers.com. If this was a stipulation last year, I missed it. I think last year you could just request up to 6. I only have one season ticket, but the web site let me request three tickets. So I guess we'll see what they give me. Last year my regular 'silver' ticket turned into a GA for the tournament. Pretty soon we'll all be out in the parking lot. ;-)

I don't see how you can get bumped out of your tier if you can't request more postseason tickets than regular season.

The one way would be if a donor who was also a regular season ticket holder at a level below gold went up a tier in donor level between the time they locked in the donor levels for regular season benefits vs October 31 (when they locked in donor levels for post season benefits). Surely that happened but I don't imagine it happened much.

I find it very encouraging that 2 players that are almost set to have impact roles on the 2025 team are enrolling early (barring injury and transfers)

Definitely a new policy for tournament tickets. I’m surprised it didn’t happen many years ago. Will be interesting to see how it all plays out and should stop some of the “ordering just to sell” crew.

I wish Simon was also enrolling early, but I suspect it might be easier for a little (especially one who will start the season as a ds most likely) to join at the beginning of the season than it would be for front row attackers. I could be wrong, the transition could be equally as hard for all position groups.
Our off season is about to be fun with Sheff looking to add 4 players via the transfer portal! Wonder what he would go for, certainly an opposite & I could also see an outside for experience joining too in case Quest has struggles. A middle for the practice gym? Or if good enough take a starting spot. Though I believe Tosia will be our other starting middle, depending how she reads the game & blocks laterally. I like the limited sample size I’ve seen of her.
Next year (as of now) we’ll have: 3 Middles 1 Opp (who doubles as setter) 2 True setters 5 Littles 3 Outsides

They have to allot seats for all the other teams' friends and family tickets, and those come out of regular season ticket holder seats.
