With Anderson in... this is a solid commitment for (S)... IMHO, she's already better than the Ash/MJ... location, being sneaky, more fiery, experienced, and a tough server. Love having her for Spring and to push Charlie in the summer/fall. BINGO needs to be another OH.... hopefully, a young incoming stud Frosh who realizes the opportunity (and being backlogged at her first choice!) to play or a GS that wants to compete for a Natty. Maybe, just maybe, a current star Jr. in HS is looking to leave a year early and start college... Eggleston type. Are Kaci Demaria and Asia Harvey set for Stanford? Or are either of these possible for above suggestion? I am pretty sure Harvey committed to Texas instead of Stanford. |

With Carly Anderson in who's experienced and has a great record, it's clear the team wants to continue on the 6-2 rather than going for the 5-1 with Charlie solo. Apparently Carly is an upgrade on both MJ and Izzy and Charlie is a generational talent so we should have better setting which will make our hitters even more effective.
I can see why we're sticking the the 6-2 since we've been using for the past two seasons after Hilley graduated and the team is more suited to it after two seasons with MJ and Izzy. The team with the 6-2 is good enough to make it to the prelims where it was undone by poor serve receive. No other top D1 teams have the personnel for such formations.
As I said before and I'll say it again all we need is that another bingo to be an experienced Libero who's elite in serve receives like Barnes and she's ideally on her last year to help our young liberos and DS develop and come straight into the team since the team is now in win the championship mode now that Smrek, Julia, Frank, Devyn and CC are on their last years and we made it to the preliminary final with them with dodgy serve receive which exposed the team. Hopefully the next Bingo is an Libero.
The backrow needs to work hard this off season since we need great back row defence and serve receives. Having that experienced player will greatly help with the development of GG, Saige and Maile and co.
I hope we play Julia as OH2 and NOT get another OH in the portal, just a Libero only.

I look at it this way: If I'm a pin hitter and have the opportunity to be opposite the National Player of the Year and possibly a national championship run! Receiving a degree from a top-rated university with KIND teammates and fantastic fan support would be a no-brainer.
I hope the right one comes; it's an amazing opportunity to step in and WIN!
