She hasn't announced her decision yet so I'm not sure what the hold up is there. Would also love to hear more info on her game as I don't follow Indiana vball at all lol. Stats wise in comparison to Goetzinger she seems to be more of a defensive middle. Where Goetzinger was more of an offensive middle.

Here's two highlight videos I found from 2023 as well. To be fair, most UK middles are offensive middles. Middle blocking has been an Achilles heel for UK for as long as I can remember.
Getting a good blocker like Kjolhede is even more important now for UK after losing Rutherford, who has probably been the best blocker on the team for years.

Couldn't play the videos, but from what I've read I think she'll be a solid addition if she commits. With that said, I still think we need another middle badly for next season.

I’m an 81 yo UK grad/lifetime fan. My appreciation of vb was nil before ‘18-‘20 COVID isolation, ESPN+, and Amazon books. I’m now hooked. I recently discovered volleytalk and enjoy the opinions and info. THANKS.
Sorry to hear about loss of Nolan to Cinn, if it proves true. A lost Ky MB first as recruit, now portal. I’m puzzled with our MB woes. ie Bella, Amy, Elise, Jordyn, Nolan. Seems our most successful MB was first an RS. Z was, of course, awesome. We have long term success everywhere except MB. (ESP. at L, S, DS) Do I perceive a problem, or is it just my inexperienced vb knowledge?

Bell & Goetzinger leave after 4 years. Williams I'm sure had her reasons. For better or worse I don't think we were ever too involved with Nolan either time around. And go back in time just a little and we had plenty of good MBs like Kaz Brown, Emily Franklin, Leah Meyer, etc. |

How sure are y’all that Kjolhede is a done deal? Cause she’s following A LOT of ASU players and staff. Including Ung who just transferred in

maybe she isn't confident that she can some in and start because Skinner isn't guaranteeing playing time, not like him to do that

I'd say maybe she's waiting acceptance into UK graduate school? That's what I want to believe.. she has followed the entire UK roster and coaching staff but has also recently started following a couple of ASU players. |
