I yearn for the day where we can simply talk about an athlete's game, rather than try to dissect their personal life, based on a fan's interpretation of a small tattoo Idk. Part of bringing mental health awareness into D1 sports is understanding these athletes are more than just the sport they play. They’re allowed, and in recent years, encouraged to share with fans different aspects of their lives. Getting a clearly symbolic tattoo in a visible spot is part of bringing that awareness to fans, imho |
