It was only 4! But in all seriousness I do get the volleyball aspect just because these are the two best programs. But since I just donāt see it regarding the schools themselves, it feels more like a battle for general volleyball supremacy than a true ārivalryā. Not sure thatās the most eloquent way to put it but thatās how it seems to me. I think the real rivalry is between Wisconsin and Nebraska, where everyone is all in to beat the other and everyone talks about when the last time X won over Y, etc. II agree that TX vs Neb is more for overall supremacy rather than a real rivalry. For you maybe, but TX-NE rivalry is real and intense for many including Coach Cook. Did that contribute to NE's poor performance in the 23 National Championship, or TX's great performance, or a little of both. TX, the more experienced team, rose to the occassion; NE, a very young team, not so much.

Interested to see who the other libero is. Whether it's Liv or Laney. My guess is Liv.

To me (and I definitely didnāt watch as much as most on this thread last year) Laney makes the big flashy plays which is important, but at times struggled a bit passing. From what Iāve heard Olivia is kinda the opposite, less flashy but passes well. Could see them both getting significant time, if passing is holding up then Laney for her defense, if the serving is really tough then put in Olivia. Am I onto anything or am I just saying words

Hayden kubik was paraded around as the 2nd best passer last year in the spring and preseason training by cook... and how much did we see her in 2023?

Yes, I had the same thought when he started talking about how great Maisie has been playing. He did the same thing with Hayden last year and she barely touched the court.

Am I onto anything or am I just saying words Olivia seems calm and controlled, probably best in serve receive and ok at D. Laney is flashy and runs and dives all over the place but (in my opinion) sometime she does it unnecessarily and is a bit spazzy on serve receive. Both are gifted players. I bet they'll both play. As far as the scrimmage goes, I bet he will mix them all around.

For any of you husker fans that like following our outbound transfers, Hayden is shaping up to be the go-to 6-ro pin at Tennessee. She had a nice performance this summer and played well in their exhibition game yesterday. The stat link was only up temporarily but if memory serves, she had 11 kills hitting at a .333 or so clip, along with 7 digs. For a match where the second two sets werenāt exactly competitive, those numbers are pretty solid. Looking forward to (hopefully) watching her continue to shine there!
