Best of luck to Hayden and Caroline! I’m sad that they’re leaving but happy for them that they get to find another home❤️ Any speculation as to where they might end up? Have zero information, but trying to will Hayden on to the Drake squad. Caroline can come too! Dawgs are an up-and-coming program under Coach McBroom, but have some holes to fill will graduation. Plus, Drake is Hayden's Hometown Team!

Re: Jurevicius in a recent Athletic article: ouch, problem for Jaylen, is that she doesn't produce anything as a fifth year senior if she's not there... Again, not being snarky, honestly curious: why does Cook have so much faith in Reyes?

I’m sorry to see Carol go. However, in this era, with a team loaded with talent, it shouldn’t surprise anyone when that talent wants to play.
BTW - for those cackling about the evil John Cook. He really did her a solid by not playing her for a few points in the stadium match. Was the communication good? It sure doesn’t sound like it. But, imagine how everyone would be screaming if Carol got in for a couple of points and then wasted an entire year of eligibility standing on the sideline.

Isn’t that what he’s pretty much done to Hayden both years she was on the roster?

This is actually why most coaches don't redshirt people unless they are sure that player is a surefire all-star. If they aren't a star you want the scholarship back so you can recruit someone better and so they don't transfer and have an extra year to play against you.

There's no way she would have played any substantial minutes behind Beason, barring an injury. She has four full years now. Wish it was in Lincoln. Piss poor communication, IMO.

FWIW - I doubt Hayden and Caroline’s expectations for PT were the same going in. It would have been reasonable for Caroline to expect to compete for and possibly win the opp job from Whit (not knowing that MB was coming). Whereas, Hayden had to know that she had entrenched Linda and Ally ahead of her.

I think Orr’s situation is entirely different. Legit injury. The team stood by her the entire way. For whatever reason, she was terrible when they tried to hand the keys to her. Ultimately, they had to bring an injured Nicklin back to take her place. I’m glad she found a way to contribute to this year’s team. PS - I never for a second believed Cook that it was an even competition between her and Bergen going into the season.

Was this the speculation when someone posted “someone from a remaining team will have two people join the portal” That was Diva trying to make everyone on The Badger Thread crazy. She claims one or two big Bingos likely and 2 corresponding transfers [in addition to Wrobel] Which fan base does Diva belong to?

She could have easily redshirted her first year behind Nicklin and only played in one game.

I would love to see a back row of Lexi, Laney, and Olivia next season. I think I'll take Mauch in the back row over Merritt anyway. Passing and serve receive is clearly a big deal, and I think I would easily give up Merritt's back row attack for Mauch (who I'll assume will be a rock solid DS) I mean, look at the recent natty champs: Akana, Halter, Barnes.
