lol not Harper unfollowing the Texas players on Insta - petty not you checking up on all her followers - just as petty Shes young, she just lost the biggest game of her young career, she probably needs a social media break rather than unfollowing but she’ll learn as she matures.

Cook should have never had her at the follow-up presser. She was a sore loser and bad example for so many young players who look up to her. All I could see was pouting. Don’t get me wrong, it’s completely understandable to be disappointed and bummed about losing a huge match, but the way she handled herself (even when coming back to NE from Tampa with all the fans greeting the team) was even more disappointing. No excusing that behavior.

That was Diva trying to make everyone on The Badger Thread crazy. She claims one or two big Bingos likely and 2 corresponding transfers [in addition to Wrobel] Which fan base does Diva belong to? Troll U

As far as criticism of Harper, stuff it ...

I caught the whole post-game presser on YouTube, and honestly have no criticism of Cook or Murray. Cook’s noting of Asia’s age & experience was on point as a big differences in the match, but not in a way that suggested it was an “unfair” advantage, or a flaw in the system. Murray was led into her comments on winning the next 3 by Feinswog’s question on how good Nebraska will be in the future. My only criticism would be of putting Becka on the panel, and that is a criticism of the SID and not of Becka. You shouldn’t put a player who was clearly still in her emotions over the loss on stage, and you should know which of your players are prone to tossing f-bombs in interviews & not put them out front. It reminded me of Kayla Caffey after the loss to Wisconsin.

This is about the Huskers getting a commit from Dylan Raiola, the top-ranked QB in this year's class, but it applies to VT. Never heard it described this way, but it's 100% on par for a lot of the posts we see here. People spend less time rooting for their own team and more time rooting against Nebraska. Not how I'd be a fan.

Hayden come back to Iowa. The Hawkeye state! And beat Nebraska before you’re done…. How about we start with beating Rutgers first

I hope I am concerned about nothing here but Harper might be taking the Texas loss very hard. Watching her descend the escalator with her hood pulled up as if to cover her face when she returned to Lincoln was a little heart breaking. Again I hope I'm worried about nothing here but, I hope she knows that her family, friends, teammates and fans are proud of all that she has accomplished her first year playing D1 volleyball. Onward and upwards.

I would love to see a back row of Lexi, Laney, and Olivia next season. I think I'll take Mauch in the back row over Merritt anyway. Passing and serve receive is clearly a big deal, and I think I would easily give up Merritt's back row attack for Mauch (who I'll assume will be a rock solid DS) I mean, look at the recent natty champs: Akana, Halter, Barnes. I'm not sure you would want to give up MB's serve. IMO she was the most consistently effective server for Nebraska this season.

Onward and upwards. In set 2 when she was targeted on Oneal's long serving run, not sure why a sub was not used to provide her a reset. I doubt she has ever experienced something like that. I did not understand it then, nor now.

I’m going to say one thing and leave it at that.
I know it’ll never happen as it’s been so long already, but cook NEEDS to work on his media training.
He came across bitter and a pompous ass during that press release. It was not a good look.
Coaches like Sheffield are just as much of bitter people. In fact sheff to me is about as fake as they come, BUT, his media training is fantastic. He would never let the media get him like that, or any game. He’ll do that once the camera/press leave.
I don’t blame the girls. They had a rough game, they’re young.
Cook should know better. It just didn’t look good

Cook should have never had her at the follow-up presser. You should never endorse taking away a platform for women to speak. Harper had every right being at the press conference. Considering the absurdity of some of the questions asked by a few reporters, Harper handled the press conference like a pro. Harper wasn’t at the table to let a few reporters try it with her. 😂 Likewise, she wasn’t putting out soundbites for opposing teams’ fanbases. During the press conference, I couldn’t help but draw parallels to the way Harper answers questions like Serena during post-match interviews, since tennis attracts the most rando reporters asking the most asinine questions. If you think your opinions are influential, though, I’ll tell you now that Harper won’t be pondering in future interviews what rando Volleytalkers from opposing fanbases want her to say. 🚮
