I think they’re splitting the time to see who steps up and also to distribute playing time since for some reason TJ is against having a L and a true DS in the back row at the same time and would rather have the pins play the 6 rotations. Our passing is awful yet again, even after bringing in like 6 new L/DS. It sucks that Tullis, the grad transfer from SELA had to forego her last season due to her medical issue, as she would’ve provided good experience and leadership in their Achilles heel. That’s a bummer with passing! Think the no DS mentality is what she brought from Texas! Problem is we’re not Texas concerning our pins. My hope is we can see TJ develop these players as this has not been happening for past several years!! I feel a small dumpster fire starting up at LSU that could intensify once they start SEC play. Last year if I remember correctly they played OH’s 6 rotations that really hurt them defensively. These cupcake teams they’re playing now are giving them some trouble so I fear the SEC will be rude awakening. TJ probably has to keep her marquee player happy so she doesn’t exit after this season even if it’s not good for the team. Let’s get it together Tigers and figure this out!

It was a dumpster fire last year! Strong rumor was Robinson was heading out door and was convinced to stay(NIL$). It’s a young team so I’ll give TJ a little slack but I’ve always seen this hire as Fran 2.0 and nothing has convinced me otherwise heading into year 3.

I don’t see Robinson returning next year which will be the biggest transfer out of the program since Briana Holman transferred out and went to Nebraska. Although this is a really young and inexperienced team, I don’t see her wanting to stick around to see if there’s a big shift in the program and would rather go somewhere where she can still be a standout but contribute to a top 25 team. Froelich needs to be subbed out for a DS in the back row and if they want to keep Jurnee happy playing 6 rotations, then leave her in. But if not, we are going to continue to be eaten alive when it comes to our passing. If TJ wants to turn this program around which everyone has been hoping for after many many years of mediocrity from Flory, she needs the school to invest those NIL dollars in her program so we can recruit at the highest level. Her transfer pickups have been very lackluster since taking over, especially this past year. Ortega is sloppy and inconsistent but at least brings leadership and experience. Teverdadze’s game hasn’t translated to the D1 level and Tullis had to medically dq. Demps as well hasn’t lived up to the hype. I’m hoping she is able to turn it around as the underclassmen have the talent to be great.

LSU barely getting by these mid level teams is concerning. The passing is part of the reason the set location is a struggle. And if we don't start getting more production from other players, I'm afraid jurnee's arm is going to fall off. Any chance we may switch to a 6-2? Ortega's a huge liability blocking and is going to get eaten alive during SEC play. Was she in a 5-1 at Iowa?

It's pretty well known, mostly because Robinson tells about anyone with ears that she got a BAG of NIL money from LSU and committed there solely because of the $ amount they offered. So the money was there and they got an elite level player, they're just not good enough at building out and coaching the rest of their roster. You look at a program like Auburn, Arkansas, probably Mizzou; they're simply better coached. They don't have that kind of NIL money to get a kid like Robinson and are looking really solid in non-con.

Felt Woodward just didn’t take volleyball seriously! He was chasing best of best in coaching with other sports but felt he didn’t do much chasing when Fran “stepped down”. I suppose he felt maybe some of Elliott would have landed on TJ but she did not have a great stint at Georgia Tech and Jill at Va Tech. Year 3 you should begin to see the turnaround with coaching change and looks like they will go backward this year.

I’m beginning to think that TJ and staff really don’t have the skills to recruit great players or develop the ones they have. Journey is already skilled on the front row so just needs some passing work and the others need a capable staff to fully develop them. Last years team was definitely better on the passing side for sure. TJ really didn’t have to recruit at UT because they just fall in your lap there- LSU is another story and unless she starts recruiting better players or finding some in the portal that will play for her this could be a short tenure at LSU. I’ve heard the stories about JR telling anybody and everybody about her large bag of cash she received and we will see if 🤑 or winning is more important in the end. You are so right about these other teams that develop and recruit good players like Mizzou, Auburn, Arkansas etc without laying out the 💰💰. I would like to shout out to Journey for her award this week and hope that arm will last all season. Maybe JD can find away to help her?? SEC is coming quick and I’m going to keep my fingers crossed for a miracle! Geaux Tigers!

I didn't get to see yesterday's match, but I did watch the Baylor match. There was some great moments in that one! Makes me hopeful. Passing seemed to be better and our middles looked good. Anyone know what's going on with Jurnee missing yesterday's game?

Watched Texas A&M vs Wisconsin tonight. Waak looked pretty good. Also saw Flickenger and Hill are doing well for their teams as well. Would be nice to have Flickenger or Hill taking some of the load off Jurnee. Glad to see she played and did well this weekend. Guess whatever had her out wasn't too serious. Any one know why Tevdoradze isn't playing? Is she injured?

I don’t believe she is living up to the hope that she could thrive at the D1 level after coming from JUCO…her defense was decent for an OH but she didn’t have a consistent swing for kills and pretty much no blocking I’d say she falls to #4 in the OH spot behind Robinson, Pyles, Froelich.

That's disappointing to hear about Tevdoradze. Hopefully Pyles or Froelich can improve and help take some of the load off Jurnee.

Great win yesterday! Not sure how we did it considering Oklahoma lead in every statistical category except aces, but we will take it.
