Savvy self-preservation. That's how bad the Northwestern job is: people like her would rather go to West Virginia.

That's a shock. Must have thrown a *lot* of money at her. I assume her husband goes along in the package deal.

Definitely sad to see her leave Wazzu. Becoming the head coach at the school she played at was a huge accomplishment for her and she took that program in the right direction. Hopefully she'll be able to turn the WVU into something better.
Her leaving says a lot about the schools efforts into finding a new conference, I don't blame her for leaving especially since that huge senior class she just graduated

oh i really, really hope they threw her a bag… I loved her at Wazzu so much😭
I’d say one of the things that would scare me, if she made this move because wazzu isn’t going to be in a power conference, is that if conferences get realigned again (aka down to three conferences), there’s no way West Virginia survives in one of the three imo. we’ll see. she could easily move schools again then. her and her husband are rockstars.

Wait this was actually a really good hire, like almost best case scenario for West Virginia.

Ooof, that's wild. I would never have guessed this. Wonder if the restructuring and uncertainty of WSU athletic future was a factor. Big move for her and her family!

This is a really surprising move in my opinion. Surely she would’ve had better offers than West Virginia. One thing to note, I know she turned down other jobs in the past because of a nepotism clause, they wouldn’t let her husband coach with her.

I see this going exactly like how their WBB hire went -- Dawn Plitzuweit said "Hey oh, I'mma put myself in the convo for a larger job and use this as a stop gap." Got WVU into the tourney in her first season and the very next year dipped as soon as the Minnesota job opened.

Well, we know in West Virginia they're not opposed to keeping it in the family!
